Biographical information

Born: August 25, 1971, Udmurtia.

1987-1992: student, Udmurt State University (UdSU), Russia;
2000: Ph.D (candidate of science). Thesis title: "Numerical and analytical methods in dynamical systems analysis", M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University;
2005: Doctor in physics and mathematics. Thesis title: "Qualitative and quantitative analysis of nonholonomic dynamical systems";
since 2001: Head of Laboratory of Dynamical Chaos and Nonlinearity at UdSU;
since 2002: Deputy director of Institute of Computer Science.

Scientific interests

Poisson structures and Lie algebras in Hamiltonian mechanics, Scenarios of transition to chaos and computer experiments, Rigid body dynamics, Nonholonomic dynamical systems, Vortex dynamics

Main accomplishments of the author

2008: Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of natural sciences.

In 2012 A.V.Borisov and I.S.Mamaev received the Sofia Kovalevskaya Award for a series of monographs devoted to the integrable systems of Hamiltonian mechanics.

Associate editor of International Scientific Journal Regular and Chaotic Dynamics; co-editor-in-chief of Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics.
