Biographical information

Roland Hildebrand was born in Leipzig, GDR, in 1975. He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of Freie Universität Berlin and from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University in 1997. He defended his PhD thesis in optimal control at Moscow State University in 2001 and his doctoral (habilitation) thesis in optimization at University GrenobleAlpes in 2017. Dr. Hildebrand worked as post-doc at Catholic University Louvain-la-Neuve in 2001 —03, as CNRS researcher at University Grenoble-Alpes in 2004—23 and as researcher at Weierstrass Institute, Berlin in 2013—16. Since 2023 he is Leading Researcher at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, in 2024 Visiting Professor at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology.
