Biographical information

Yaroslav A. Kholodov graduated from MIPT in 1993. He pursued postgraduate studies at MIPT from 1993 to 1996. He was employed by the company Beeline from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2001 he pursued postgraduate studies at the Rochester University, USA. From 2001 on he was a senior teacher at the Department of Computational Mathematics of MIPT and from 2007 on an associate professor. He taught courses to undergraduate students in computational mathematics, nonlinear computational processes, and numerical modeling of the dynamics of traffic flows. The focus of his research activities is on intelligent data analysis, the modeling of protein interactions using bioinformatics and the modeling of road traffic using algorithms of adaptive control.

Yaroslav A. Kholodov is the author of more than 50 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and the author of 17 software programs for which certificates of state registration have been issued. He reviews papers for the journals “Mathematical Modeling” and “Computer Research and Modeling” and the co-author of 3 textbooks and one book. He is head of the Laboratory of Data Analysis and Bioinformatics at the Innopolis University.

Main accomplishments of the author

Since 2008, according to the decision of the academic council of the Faculty of Control and Applied Mathematics at MIPT, he has been an academic adviser of postgraduate students.

Since then, six of them received a PhD in physics and mathematics under his guidance in the special field "Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Methods and Software Complexes".

Yaroslav A.Kholodov is the supervisor of the RFBR project "Development of Algorithms for Modeling the Dynamics of Traffic Flows for Optimal Routing of Traffic Using High-Performance Computational Technologies", No. 10-07-00620-а (2010-2012);
