Main accomplishments of the author

Dr. Gaiko is a world-known expert in Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations and Bifurcation Theory of Dynamical Systems. He has developed the global bifurcation theory of planar polynomial dynamical systems and has solved Hilbert’s Sixteenth Problem for quadratic systems and Smale’s Thirteenth Problem for Liénard polynomial systems. At present Valery Gaiko has been working on the qualitative analysis of 2D and 3D biomedical and ecological dynamical systems.

Dr. Gaiko has over 300 publications including 2 monographs and 100 research papers in such international journals as Nonlinear Analysis, Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, International Journal of Dynamical Systems and Differential Equations, International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, Journal of Mathematical Sciences, Applied Mathematics Letters, Advances in Dynamical Systems and Applications, Nonlinear Phenomena in Complex Systems, Computer Research and Modeling. He gave over 300 presentations at mathematical conferences, congresses, and special seminars on Theory and Applications of Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems in leading international centers of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Italy, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, USA, and CIS countries.
