Biographical information

Born: March 27, 1965 in Moscow, Russia.

  • 1984-1989: student, N.E.Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU), Russia.
  • 1995: Ph.D. (candidate of science). Thesis title: „Nonintegrability of Kirchhoff equations and related problems in rigid body dynamics”, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

  • 2001: Doctor in Physics and Mathematics. Thesis title: „Poisson structures and Lie Algebras in Hamiltonian Mechanics”, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Main accomplishments of the author

Member of the Russian National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (2001).

Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (2006).

 In 2012 A.V.Borisov and I.S.Mamaev received the Sofia Kovalevskaya Award for a series of monographs devoted to the integrable systems of Hamiltonian mechanics.

In 2014 he was awarded the honorary title "Honored Scientist of the Udmurt Republic".

He is a recipient of the award "The Most Influential Researchers according to the Version of Thomson Reuters in 2015" in the area of mathematics.

Сo-founder and associate editor of the International Scientific Journal Regular and Chaotic Dynamics; co-founder and editor-in-chief of Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics.

Research supervision of 10 candidates of science and 3 doctors of science (I.S. Mamaev, A.A. Kilin, S.M. Ramodanov).
