    Integration the relativistic wave equations in Bianchi IX cosmology model

    We consider integration Clein–Gordon and Dirac equations in Bianchi IX cosmology model. Using the noncommutative integration method we found the new exact solutions for Taub universe.

    Noncommutative integration method for Bianchi IX model is based on the use of the special infinite-dimensional holomorphic representation of the rotation group, which is based on the nondegenerate orbit adjoint representation, and complex polarization of degenerate covector. The matrix elements of the representation of form a complete and orthogonal set and allow you to use the generalized Fourier transform. Casimir operator for rotation group under this transformation becomes constant. And the symmetry operators generated by the Killing vector fields in the linear differential operators of the first order from one dependent variable. Thus, the relativistic wave equation on the rotation group allow non-commutative reduction to ordinary differential equations. In contrast to the well-known method of separation of variables, noncommutative integration method takes into account the non-Abelian algebra of symmetry operators and provides solutions that carry information about the non-commutative symmetry of the task. Such solutions can be useful for measuring the vacuum quantum effects and the calculation of the Green’s functions by the splitting-point method.

    The work for the Taub model compared the solutions obtained with the known, which are obtained by separation of variables. It is shown that the non-commutative solutions are expressed in terms of elementary functions, while the known solutions are defined by the Wigner function. And commutative reduced by the Klein–Gordon equation for Taub model coincides with the equation, reduced by separation of variables. A commutative reduced by the Dirac equation is equivalent to the reduced equation obtained by separation of variables.

The mathematical model of the magnetic memory cell MRAM with the in-plane anisotropy axis parallel to the edge of a free ferromagnetic layer (longitudinal anisotropy) has been constructed using approximation of uniform magnetization. The model is based on the Landau–Lifshits–Gilbert equation with the injection-current term in the Sloncžewski–Berger form. The set of ordinary differential equations for magnetization dynamics in a three-layered Co/Cu/Cu valve under the control of external magnetic field and spin-polarized current has been derived in the normal coordinate form. It was shown that the set of equations has two main stationary points on the anisotropy axis at any values of field and current. The stationary analysis of them has been performed. The algebraic equations for determination of additional stationary points have been derived. It has been shown that, depending on the field and current magnitude, the set of equations can have altogether two, four, or six stationary points symmetric in pairs relatively the anisotropy axis. The bifurcation diagrams for all the points have been constructed. The classification of the corresponding phase portraits has been performed. The typical trajectories were calculated numerically using Runge–Kutta method. The regions, where stable and unstable limit cycles exist, have been determined. It was found that the unstable limit cycles exist around the main stable equilibrium point on the axis that coincides with the anisotropy one, whereas the stable cycles surround the unstable additional points of equilibrium. The area of their existence was determined numerically. The new types of dynamics, such as accidental switching and non-complete switching, have been found. The threshold values of switching current and field have been obtained analytically. The estimations of switching times have been performed numerically.

  3. The mathematical model of a three-layered Co/Cu/Co nanopillar for MRAM cell with one fixed and one free layer was investigated in the approximation of uniformly distributed magnetization. The anisotropy axis is perpendicular to the layers (so-called perpendicular anisotropy). Initially the magnetization of the free layer is oriented along the anisotropy axis in the position accepted to be “zero”. Simultaneous magnetic field and spinpolarized current engaging can reorient the magnetization to another position which in this context can be accepted as “one”. The mathematical description of the effect is based on the classical vector Landau–Lifshits equation with the dissipative term in the Gilbert form. In our model we took into account the interactions of the magnetization with an external magnetic field and such effective magnetic fields as an anisotropy and demagnetization ones. The influence of the spin-polarized injection current is taken into account in the form of Sloczewski–Berger term. The model was reduced to the set of three ordinary differential equations with the first integral. It was shown that at any current and field the dynamical system has two main equilibrium states on the axis coincident with anisotropy axis. It was ascertained that in contrast with the longitudinal-anisotropy model, in the model with perpendicular anisotropy there are no other equilibrium states. The stability analysis of the main equilibrium states was performed. The bifurcation diagrams characterizing the magnetization dynamics at different values of the control parameters were built. The classification of the phase portraits on the unit sphere was performed. The features of the dynamics at different values of the parameters were studied and the conditions of the magnetization reorientation were determined. The trajectories of magnetization switching were calculated numerically using the Runge–Kutta method. The parameter values at which limit cycles exist were determined. The threshold values for the switching current were found analytically. The threshold values for the structures with longitudinal and perpendicular anisotropy were compared. It was established that in the structure with the perpendicular anisotropy at zero field the switching current is an order lower than in the structure with the longitudinal one.

    Features of numerical solutions of some problems for cnoidal waves as periodic solutions of the Korteweg – de Vries

    This article discusses the features of the numerical solutions of some problems for cnoidal waves, which are periodic solutions of the classical Korteweg – de Vries equation of the traveling wave type. Exact solutions describing these waves were obtained by communicating the autowave approximation of the Korteweg – de Vries equation to ordinary functions of the third, second, and finally, first orders. Referring to a numerical example shows that in this way ordinary differential equations are not equivalent. The theorem formulated and proved in this article and the remark to it include the set of solutions of the first and second order, which, in their ordinal, are not equivalent. The ordinary differential equation of the first order obtained by the autowave approximation for the description of a cnoidal wave (a periodic solution) and a soliton (a solitary wave). Despite this, from a computational point of view, this equation is the most inconvenient. For this equation, the Lipschitz condition for the sought-for function is not satisfied in the neighborhood of constant solutions. Hence, the existence theorem and the unique solutions of the Cauchy problem for an ordinary differential equation of the first order are not valid. In particular, the uniqueness of the solution to the Cauchy problem is violated at stationary points. Therefore, for an ordinary differential equation of the first order, obtained from the Korteweg – de Vries equation, both in the case of a cnoidal wave and in the case of a soliton, the Cauchy problem cannot be posed at the extremum points. The first condition can be a set position between adjacent extremum points. But for the second, third and third orders, the initial conditions can be set at the growth points and at the extremum points. In this case, the segment for the numerical solution greatly expands and periodicity is observed. For the solutions of these ordinary solutions, the statements of the Cauchy problems are studied, and the results are compared with exact solutions and with each other. A numerical realization of the transformation of a cnoidal wave into a soliton is shown. The results of the article have a hemodynamic interpretation of the pulsating blood flow in a cylindrical blood vessel consisting of elastic rings.

    On the stability of the gravitational system of many bodies

    In this paper, a gravitational system is understood as a set of point bodies that interact according to Newton's law of attraction and have a negative value of the total energy. The question of the stability (nonstability) of a gravitational system of general position is discussed by direct computational experiment. A gravitational system of general position is a system in which the masses, initial positions, and velocities of bodies are chosen randomly from given ranges. A new method for the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations at large time intervals has been developed for the computational experiment. The proposed method allowed, on the one hand, to ensure the fulfillment of all conservation laws by a suitable correction of solutions, on the other hand, to use standard methods for the numerical solution of systems of differential equations of low approximation order. Within the framework of this method, the trajectory of a gravitational system in phase space is assembled from parts, the duration of each of which can be macroscopic. The constructed trajectory, generally speaking, is discontinuous, and the points of joining of individual pieces of the trajectory act as branch points. In connection with the latter circumstance, the proposed method, in part, can be attributed to the class of Monte Carlo methods. The general conclusion of a series of computational experiments has shown that gravitational systems of general position with a number of bodies of 3 or more, generally speaking, are unstable. In the framework of the proposed method, special cases of zero-equal angular momentum of a gravitational system with a number of bodies of 3 or more, as well as the problem of motion of two bodies, are specially considered. The case of numerical modeling of the dynamics of the solar system in time is considered separately. From the standpoint of computational experiments based on analytical methods, as well as direct numerical methods of high-order approximation (10 and higher), the stability of the solar system was previously demonstrated at an interval of five billion years or more. Due to the limitations on the available computational resources, the stability of the dynamics of the planets of the solar system within the framework of the proposed method was confirmed for a period of ten million years. With the help of a computational experiment, one of the possible scenarios for the disintegration of the solar systems is also considered.

    Numerical solution of systems of nonlinear second-order differential equations with variable coefficients by the one-step Galerkin method

    A nonlinear oscillatory system described by ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients is considered, in which terms that are linearly dependent on coordinates, velocities and accelerations are explicitly distinguished; nonlinear terms are written as implicit functions of these variables. For the numerical solution of the initial problem described by such a system of differential equations, the one-step Galerkin method is used. At the integration step, unknown functions are represented as a sum of linear functions satisfying the initial conditions and several given correction functions in the form of polynomials of the second and higher degrees with unknown coefficients. The differential equations at the step are satisfied approximately by the Galerkin method on a system of corrective functions. Algebraic equations with nonlinear terms are obtained, which are solved by iteration at each step. From the solution at the end of each step, the initial conditions for the next step are determined.

    The corrective functions are taken the same for all steps. In general, 4 or 5 correction functions are used for calculations over long time intervals: in the first set — basic power functions from the 2nd to the 4th or 5th degrees; in the second set — orthogonal power polynomials formed from basic functions; in the third set — special linear-independent polynomials with finite conditions that simplify the “docking” of solutions in the following steps.

    Using two examples of calculating nonlinear oscillations of systems with one and two degrees of freedom, numerical studies of the accuracy of the numerical solution of initial problems at various time intervals using the Galerkin method using the specified sets of power-law correction functions are performed. The results obtained by the Galerkin method and the Adams and Runge –Kutta methods of the fourth order are compared. It is shown that the Galerkin method can obtain reliable results at significantly longer time intervals than the Adams and Runge – Kutta methods.

    Parametric identification of dynamic systems based on external interval estimates of phase variables

    An important role in the construction of mathematical models of dynamic systems is played by inverse problems, which in particular include the problem of parametric identification. Unlike classical models that operate with point values, interval models give upper and lower boundaries on the quantities under study. The paper considers an interpolation approach to solving interval problems of parametric identification of dynamic systems for the case when experimental data are represented by external interval estimates. The purpose of the proposed approach is to find such an interval estimate of the model parameters, in which the external interval estimate of the solution of the direct modeling problem would contain experimental data or minimize the deviation from them. The approach is based on the adaptive interpolation algorithm for modeling dynamic systems with interval uncertainties, which makes it possible to explicitly obtain the dependence of phase variables on system parameters. The task of minimizing the distance between the experimental data and the model solution in the space of interval boundaries of the model parameters is formulated. An expression for the gradient of the objectivet function is obtained. On a representative set of tasks, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated.

Different versions of the shifting mode of reproduction models describe set of the macroeconomic production subsystems interacting with each other, to each of which there corresponds the household. These subsystems differ among themselves on age of the fixed capital used by them as they alternately stop production for its updating by own forces (for repair of the equipment and for introduction of the innovations increasing production efficiency). It essentially distinguishes this type of models from the models describing the mode of joint reproduction in case of which updating of fixed capital and production of a product happen simultaneously. Models of the shifting mode of reproduction allow to describe mechanisms of such phenomena as cash circulations and amortization, and also to describe different types of monetary policy, allow to interpret mechanisms of economic growth in a new way. Unlike many other macroeconomic models, model of this class in which the subsystems competing among themselves serially get an advantage in comparison with the others because of updating, essentially not equilibrium. They were originally described as a systems of ordinary differential equations with abruptly varying coefficients. In the numerical calculations which were carried out for these systems depending on parameter values and initial conditions both regular, and not regular dynamics was revealed. This paper shows that the simplest versions of this model without the use of additional approximations can be represented in a discrete form (in the form of non-linear mappings) with different variants (continuous and discrete) financial flows between subsystems (interpreted as wages and subsidies). This form of representation is more convenient for receipt of analytical results as well as for a more economical and accurate numerical calculations. In particular, its use allowed to determine the entry conditions corresponding to coordinated and sustained economic growth without systematic lagging in production of a product of one subsystems from others.

    Analysis of additive and parametric noise effects on Morris – Lecar neuron model

    This paper is devoted to the analysis of the effect of additive and parametric noise on the processes occurring in the nerve cell. This study is carried out on the example of the well-known Morris – Lecar model described by the two-dimensional system of ordinary differential equations. One of the main properties of the neuron is the excitability, i.e., the ability to respond to external stimuli with an abrupt change of the electric potential on the cell membrane. This article considers a set of parameters, wherein the model exhibits the class 2 excitability. The dynamics of the system is studied under variation of the external current parameter. We consider two parametric zones: the monostability zone, where a stable equilibrium is the only attractor of the deterministic system, and the bistability zone, characterized by the coexistence of a stable equilibrium and a limit cycle. We show that in both cases random disturbances result in the phenomenon of the stochastic generation of mixed-mode oscillations (i. e., alternating oscillations of small and large amplitudes). In the monostability zone this phenomenon is associated with a high excitability of the system, while in the bistability zone, it occurs due to noise-induced transitions between attractors. This phenomenon is confirmed by changes of probability density functions for distribution of random trajectories, power spectral densities and interspike intervals statistics. The action of additive and parametric noise is compared. We show that under the parametric noise, the stochastic generation of mixed-mode oscillations is observed at lower intensities than under the additive noise. For the quantitative analysis of these stochastic phenomena we propose and apply an approach based on the stochastic sensitivity function technique and the method of confidence domains. In the case of a stable equilibrium, this confidence domain is an ellipse. For the stable limit cycle, this domain is a confidence band. The study of the mutual location of confidence bands and the boundary separating the basins of attraction for different noise intensities allows us to predict the emergence of noise-induced transitions. The effectiveness of this analytical approach is confirmed by the good agreement of theoretical estimations with results of direct numerical simulations.

    Relaxation oscillations and buckling of thin shells

    The paper reviews possibilities to predict buckling of thin cylindrical shells with non-destructive techniques during operation. It studies shallow shells made of high strength materials. Such structures are known for surface displacements exceeding the thickness of the elements. In the explored shells relaxation oscillations of significant amplitude can be generated even under relatively low internal stresses. The problem of the cylindrical shell oscillation is mechanically and mathematically modeled in a simplified form by conversion into an ordinary differential equation. To create the model, the researches of many authors were used who studied the geometry of the surface formed after buckling (postbuckling behavior). The nonlinear ordinary differential equation for the oscillating shell matches the well-known Duffing equation. It is important that there is a small parameter before the second time derivative in the Duffing equation. The latter circumstance enables making a detailed analysis of the obtained equation and describing the physical phenomena — relaxation oscillations — that are unique to thin high-strength shells.

    It is shown that harmonic oscillations of the shell around the equilibrium position and stable relaxation oscillations are defined by the bifurcation point of the solutions to the Duffing equation. This is the first point in the Feigenbaum sequence to convert the stable periodic motions into dynamic chaos. The amplitude and the period of relaxation oscillations are calculated based on the physical properties and the level of internal stresses within the shell. Two cases of loading are reviewed: compression along generating elements and external pressure.

    It is highlighted that if external forces vary in time according to the harmonic law, the periodic oscillation of the shell (nonlinear resonance) is a combination of slow and stick-slip movements. Since the amplitude and the frequency of the oscillations are known, this fact enables proposing an experimental facility for prediction of the shell buckling with non-destructive techniques. The following requirement is set as a safety factor: maximum load combinations must not cause displacements exceeding specified limits. Based on the results of the experimental measurements a formula is obtained to estimate safety against buckling (safety factor) of the structure.
