Influence of random malignant cell motility on growing tumor front stability
Computer Research and Modeling, 2009, v. 1, no. 2, pp. 225-232Views (last year): 5. Citations: 7 (RSCI).Chemotaxis plays an important role in morphogenesis and processes of structure formation in nature. Both unicellular organisms and single cells in tissue demonstrate this property. In vitro experiments show that many types of transformed cell, especially metastatic competent, are capable for directed motion in response usually to chemical signal. There is a number of theoretical papers on mathematical modeling of tumour growth and invasion using Keller-Segel model for the chemotactic motility of cancer cells. One of the crucial questions for using the chemotactic term in modelling of tumour growth is a lack of reliable quantitative estimation of its parameters. The 2-D mathematical model of tumour growth and invasion, which takes into account only random cell motility and convective fluxes in compact tissue, has showed that due to competitive mechanism tumour can grow toward sources of nutrients in absence of chemotactic cell motility.

Diffusion instability in a threevariable reaction–diffusion model
Computer Research and Modeling, 2011, v. 3, no. 2, pp. 135-146Views (last year): 1. Citations: 7 (RSCI).Investigation of occurrence of diffusion instability in a set of three reaction–diffusion equations is carried out. In the general case the condition for both Turing and wave instabilities are obtained. Qualitative properties of the system, in which the bifurcation of each of the two types can take place, are clarified. In numerical experiments it is shown that if the corresponding conditions are met in the nonlinear model, spatiotemporal patterns are formed, which are predicted by linear analysis.

Numerical study of traffic flows by the hydrodynamic models
Computer Research and Modeling, 2011, v. 3, no. 4, pp. 389-412Views (last year): 7. Citations: 7 (RSCI).The purpose of this paper is to generalize the macroscopic hydrodynamic vehicular traffic models by using the algorithm for constructing the adequate state equation — dependence the pressure from traffic density by taking into account the real experimental data (possibly using the parametric solutions for model equations). It is proved that this kind of state equation which closed model equations system and obtained from the experimentally observed form of the fundamental diagram — dependence the traffic intensity from its density, completely determines the all properties of the used phenomenological model.

Method of modelling of compact bone tissue structure
Computer Research and Modeling, 2011, v. 3, no. 4, pp. 413-420Views (last year): 2. Citations: 7 (RSCI).The method of modelling of a compact bone tissue microstructure is presented. The modelling sample is considered as set of the structural elements containing reinforcing element – osteon and a matrix. The form of structural elements is defined by distances to next osteons and directions of next osteons arrangement. Calculation of the stress and strain state of the modelling sample is carried out at tension in program complex ANSYS. Results of calculation have shown, that haversian canals are stress concentrators.

Dynamical characteristics of DNA kinks and antikinks
Computer Research and Modeling, 2012, v. 4, no. 1, pp. 209-217Views (last year): 2. Citations: 7 (RSCI).In this article in the frameworks of the sine-Gordon mode we have calculated the dynamical characteristics of kinks and antikinks activated in the homogeneous polynucleotide chains each if them contains only one of the types of the bases: adenines, thymines, guanines or cytosines. We have obtained analytical formulas and constructed the graphs for the kink and antikink profiles and for their energy density in the 2D- and 3D-dimension. Mass of kinks and antikinks, their energy of rest and their size have been estimated. The trajectories of kink and antikink motion in the phase space have been calculated in the 2D- and 3D-dimension.

On one particular model of a mixture of the probability distributions in the radio measurements
Computer Research and Modeling, 2012, v. 4, no. 3, pp. 563-568Views (last year): 3. Citations: 7 (RSCI).This paper presents a model mixture of probability distributions of signal and noise. Typically, when analyzing the data under conditions of uncertainty it is necessary to use nonparametric tests. However, such an analysis of nonstationary data in the presence of uncertainty on the mean of the distribution and its parameters may be ineffective. The model involves the implementation of a case of a priori non-parametric uncertainty in the processing of the signal at a time when the separation of signal and noise are related to different general population, is feasible.

Approach to development of algorithms of Newtonian methods of unconstrained optimization, their software implementation and benchmarking
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 3, pp. 367-377Views (last year): 2. Citations: 7 (RSCI).The approach to increase efficiency of Gill and Murray's algorithm of Newtonian methods of unconstrained optimization with step adjustment creation is offered, rests on Cholesky’s factorization. It is proved that the strategy of choice of the descent direction also determines the solution of the problem of scaling of steps at descent, and approximation by non-quadratic functions, and integration with a method of a confidential vicinity.
