Localized nonlinear waves of the sine-Gordon equation in a model with three extended impurities
Computer Research and Modeling, 2024, v. 16, no. 4, pp. 855-868In this work, we use analytical and numerical methods to consider the problem of the structure and dynamics of coupled localized nonlinear waves in the sine-Gordon model with three identical attractive extended “impurities”, which are modeled by spatial inhomogeneity of the periodic potential. Two possible types of coupled nonlinear localized waves are found: breather and soliton. The influence of system parameters and initial conditions on the structure, amplitude, and frequency of localized waves was analyzed. Associated oscillations of localized waves of the breather type as in the case of point impurities, are the sum of three harmonic oscillations: in-phase, in-phase-antiphase and antiphase type. Frequency analysis of impurity-localized waves that were obtained during a numerical experiment was performed using discrete Fourier transform. To analyze localized breather-type waves, the numerical finite difference method was used. To carry out a qualitative analysis of the obtained numerical results, the problem was solved analytically for the case of small amplitudes of oscillations localized on impurities. It is shown that, for certain impurity parameters (depth and width), it is possible to obtain localized solitontype waves. The ranges of values of the system parameters in which localized waves of a certain type exist, as well as the region of transition from breather to soliton types of oscillations, have been found. The values of the depth and width of the impurity at which a transition from the breather to the soliton type of localized oscillations is observed were determined. Various scenarios of soliton-type oscillations with negative and positive amplitude values for all three impurities, as well as mixed cases, were obtained and considered. It is shown that in the case when the distance between impurities much less than one, there is no transition region where which the nascent breather, after losing energy through radiation, transforms into a soliton. It is shown that the considered model can be used, for example, to describe the dynamics of magnetization waves in multilayer magnets.

Signal and noise parameters’ determination at rician data analysis by method of moments of lower odd orders
Computer Research and Modeling, 2017, v. 9, no. 5, pp. 717-728Views (last year): 10. Citations: 1 (RSCI).The paper develops a new mathematical method of the joint signal and noise parameters determination at the Rice statistical distribution by method of moments based upon the analysis of data for the 1-st and the 3-rd raw moments of the random rician value. The explicit equations’ system have been obtained for required parameters of the signal and noise. In the limiting case of the small value of the signal-to-noise ratio the analytical formulas have been derived that allow calculating the required parameters without the necessity of solving the equations numerically. The technique having been elaborated in the paper ensures an efficient separation of the informative and noise components of the data to be analyzed without any a-priori restrictions, just based upon the processing of the results of the signal’s sampled measurements. The task is meaningful for the purposes of the rician data processing, in particular in the systems of magnetic-resonance visualization, in ultrasound visualization systems, at the optical signals’ analysis in range measuring systems, in radio location, etc. The results of the investigation have shown that the two parameter task solution of the proposed technique does not lead to the increase in demanded volume of computing resources compared with the one parameter task being solved in approximation that the second parameter of the task is known a-priori There are provided the results of the elaborated technique’s computer simulation. The results of the signal and noise parameters’ numerical calculation have confirmed the efficiency of the elaborated technique. There has been conducted the comparison of the accuracy of the sought-for parameters estimation by the technique having been developed in this paper and by the previously elaborated method of moments based upon processing the measured data for lower even moments of the signal to be analyzed.

Mathematical modelling of the magnetic system by A. N. Tikhonov regularization method
Computer Research and Modeling, 2011, v. 3, no. 2, pp. 165-175In this paper the problem of searching for the design of the magnetic system for creation a magnetic field with the required characteristics in the given area is solved. On the basis of analysis of the mathematical model of the magnetic system rather a general approach is proposed to the solving of the inverse problem, which is written by the Fredgolm equation H(z) = ∫SIJ(s)G(z, s)ds, z ∈ S H, s ∈ S I . It was necessary to define the current density distribution function J(s) and the existing winding geometry for creation of a required magnetic field H(z). In the paper a method of solving those by means of regularized iterative processes is proposed. On the base of the concrete magnetic system we perform the numerical study of influence of different factors on the character of the magnetic field being designed.

Peculiar features of numerical modeling of the modified spectrometer magnet field
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 1, pp. 93-105Citations: 1 (RSCI).In this work, we propose a method of the numerical solution of the magnetostatic problem for domains with boundaries containing corners. With the help of this numerical method, the magnetic systems of rectangular configuration were simulated with high accuracy. In particular, the calculations of some modifications of the magnetic system SP-40 used in the NIS JINR experimental installation, are presented. The basic feature of such a magnet is a rectangular aperture, hence, the area in which the boundary-value problem is solved, has a smooth border everywhere, except for a finite number of angular points in the vicinity of which the border is formed by crossing two smooth curves. In such cases the solution to the problem or derivatives of the solution can have a special feature. A behavior of the magnetic field in the vicinity of an angular point is investigated, and the configuration of the magnet was chosen numerically. The width of the area of homogeneity of the magnetic field increased from 0.5 m up to 1.0 m, i. e. twice.

Construction of adaptive mesh in the domain with boundary «corner point» of ferromagnetic in the numerical simulation of magnetic systems
Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 1, pp. 89-99Views (last year): 2.At numerical solving of the boundary-value problem of magnetostatic in a domain with a boundary corner point, a question of accuracy of the obtained solution near the corner point of ferromagnetic arises [Zhidkov, Perepelkin, 2001]. Near the corner point an essential growth of the module of the magnetic field can take place, which leads to the necessity of constructing special numerical algorithms when solving the boundary-value problem. This work represents an algorithm of constructing an adaptive mesh in the domain with a boundary corner point of ferromagnetic taking into account the character of behaviour of the solution of the boundary-value problem. An example of calculating a model problem in the domain containing a corner point is given.

Interaction of a breather with a domain wall in a two-dimensional O(3) nonlinear sigma model
Computer Research and Modeling, 2017, v. 9, no. 5, pp. 773-787Views (last year): 6.By numerical simulation methods the interaction processes of oscillating soliton (breather) with a 180-degree Neel domain wall in the framework of a (2 + 1)-dimensional supersymmetric O(3) nonlinear sigma model is studied. The purpose of this paper is to investigate nonlinear evolution and stability of a system of interacting localized dynamic and topological solutions. To construct the interaction models, were used a stationary breather and domain wall solutions, where obtained in the framework of the two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation by adding specially selected perturbations to the A3-field vector in the isotopic space of the Bloch sphere. In the absence of an external magnetic field, nonlinear sigma models have formal Lorentz invariance, which allows constructing, in particular, moving solutions and analyses the experimental data of the nonlinear dynamics of an interacting solitons system. In this paper, based on the obtained moving localized solutions, models for incident and head-on collisions of breathers with a domain wall are constructed, where, depending on the dynamic parameters of the system, are observed the collisions and reflections of solitons from each other, a long-range interactions and also the decay of an oscillating soliton into linear perturbation waves. In contrast to the breather solution that has the dynamics of the internal degree of freedom, the energy integral of a topologically stable soliton in the all experiments the preserved with high accuracy. For each type of interaction, the range of values of the velocity of the colliding dynamic and topological solitons is determined as a function of the rotation frequency of the A3-field vector in the isotopic space. Numerical models are constructed on the basis of methods of the theory of finite difference schemes, using the properties of stereographic projection, taking into account the group-theoretical features of constructions of the O(N) class of nonlinear sigma models of field theory. On the perimeter of the two-dimensional modeling area, specially developed boundary conditions are established that absorb linear perturbation waves radiated by interacting soliton fields. Thus, the simulation of the interaction processes of localized solutions in an infinite two-dimensional phase space is carried out. A software module has been developed that allows to carry out a complex analysis of the evolution of interacting solutions of nonlinear sigma models of field theory, taking into account it’s group properties in a two-dimensional pseudo-Euclidean space. The analysis of isospin dynamics, as well the energy density and energy integral of a system of interacting dynamic and topological solitons is carried out.
