Multiscale mathematical modeling occurrence and growth of a tumour in an epithelial tissue
Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 4, pp. 585-604Views (last year): 10. Citations: 12 (RSCI).In this paper we propose a mathematical model of cancer tumour occurrence in a quasi twodimensional epithelial tissue. Basic model of the epithelium growth describes the appearance of intensive movement and growth of tissue when it is damaged. The model includes the effects of division of cells and intercalation. It is assumed that the movement of cells is caused by the wave of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), which in turn activated by the chemo-mechanical signal propagating along tissue due to its local damage. In this paper it is assumed that cancer cells arise from local failure of spatial synchronization of circadian rhythms. The study of the evolutionary dynamics of the model could determine the chemo-physical properties of a tumour, and spatial relationship between the occurrence of cancer cells and development of the entire tissue parameters coordinating its evolution through the exchange of chemical and mechanical signals.

Simple behavioral model of imprint formation
Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 5, pp. 793-802Views (last year): 5. Citations: 2 (RSCI).Formation of adequate behavioral patterns in condition of the unknown environment carried out through exploratory behavior. At the same time the rapid formation of an acceptable pattern is more preferable than a long elaboration perfect pattern through repeat play learning situation. In extreme situations, phenomenon of imprinting is observed — instant imprinting of behavior pattern, which ensure the survival of individuals. In this paper we propose a hypothesis and imprint model when trained on a single successful pattern of virtual robot's neural network demonstrates the effective functioning. Realism of the model is estimated by checking the stability of playback behavior pattern to perturbations situation imprint run.

Simulation of microstructure evolutions of VT6 alloy during isothermal forging using Deform software
Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 6, pp. 975-982Views (last year): 7. Citations: 3 (RSCI).The article contains results of modeling of bi-modal microstructure evolution of VT6 alloy during isothermal forging. The model of recrystallization based on dislocation approach to nucleation and growth of nuclear was made to calculate recrystallization processes of the secondary alpha phase. The globularization process of lamellar alpha phase was calculated with assumption of diffusion-control migration of beta-phase boundary due to grain boundary diffusion of vanadium atom. The theoretical results were compared with experimental one.

Analysis of stochastic attractors for time-delayed quadratic discrete model of population dynamics
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 1, pp. 145-157Views (last year): 3. Citations: 1 (RSCI).We consider a time-delayed quadratic discrete model of population dynamics under the influence of random perturbations. Analysis of stochastic attractors of the model is performed using the methods of direct numerical simulation and the stochastic sensitivity function technique. A deformation of the probability distribution of random states around the stable equilibria and cycles is studied parametrically. The phenomenon of noise-induced transitions in the zone of discrete cycles is demonstrated.

Modeling of sand-gravel bed evolution in one-dimension
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 2, pp. 315-328In the paper the model for a one-dimensional non-equilibrium riverbed process is proposed. The model takes into account the suspended and bed-load sediment transport. The bed-load transport is determined by using the original formula. This formula was derived from the thin bottom layer motion equation. The formula doesn’t contain new phenomenological parameters and takes into account the influence of bed slope, granulometric and physical mechanical parameters on the bed-load transport. A number of the model test problems are solved for the verification of the proposed mathematical model. The comparison of the calculation results with the established experimental data and the results of other authors is made. It was shown, that the obtained results have a good agreement with the experimental data in spite of the relative simplicity of the proposed mathematical model.

Investigation of time to reach consensus on the work of technical committees on standardization based on regular Markov chains
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 4, pp. 941-950Views (last year): 5. Citations: 8 (RSCI).In this paper construct the mathematical model for consensus in technical committees for standardization (TC), based on the consensus model proposed DeGroot. The basic problems of achieving consensus in the development of consensus standards in terms of the proposed model are discussed. The results of statistical modeling characterizing the dependence of time to reach consensus on the number of members of the TC and their authoritarianism are presented. It has been shown that increasing the number of TC experts and authoritarianism negative impact on the time to reach a consensus and increase fragmentation of the TC.

Pareto optimal analysis of global warming prevention by geoengineering methods
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 5, pp. 1097-1108Views (last year): 1. Citations: 3 (RSCI).The study is based on a three-dimensional hydrodynamic global climate coupled model, including ocean model with real depths and continents configuration, sea ice evolution model and energy and moisture balance atmosphere model. Aerosol concentration from the year 2010 to 2100 is calculated as a controlling parameter to stabilize mean year surface air temperature. It is shown that by this way it is impossible to achieve the space and seasonal uniform approximation to the existing climate, although it is possible significantly reduce the greenhouse warming effect. Climate will be colder at 0.1–0.2 degrees in the low and mid-latitudes and at high latitudes it will be warmer at 0.2–1.2 degrees. The Pareto frontier is investigated and visualized for two parameters — atmospheric temperature mean square deviation for the winter and summer seasons. The Pareto optimal amount of sulfur emissions would be between 23.5 and 26.5 TgS/year.

Model for economic interests agreement in duopoly’s making price decisions
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 6, pp. 1309-1329Views (last year): 10. Citations: 2 (RSCI).The model of market pricing in duopoly describing the prices dynamics as a two-dimensional map is presented. It is shown that the fixed point of the map coincides with the local Nash-equilibrium price in duopoly game. There have been numerically identified a bifurcation of the fixed point, shown the scheme of transition from periodic to chaotic mode through a doubling period. To ensure the sustainability of local Nashequilibrium price the controlling chaos mechanism has been proposed. This mechanism allows to harmonize the economic interests of the firms and to form the balanced pricing policy.

This work is devoted to creation of static atomic model of two surfaces in contact at electric diamond grinding: single-points diamond and material grinded of them. At the heart of the work there are issues of computer visualization of these surfaces at the molecular level, since traditional mathematical description does not possess sufficient visualization to demonstrate some aspects of the atomic tribology of metal cutting to simultaneously occurring the different, by their physical nature, processes. And in the electric diamond grinding blends effect of several processes simultaneously: mechanical, electrical and electrochemical. So the modeling technique proposed by authors is still the only way to see what is happening at the atomic level, cutting material of single-point diamond.

Substantiation of optimum planting schemes for forest plantations: a computer experiment
Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 2, pp. 333-343Views (last year): 2. Citations: 2 (RSCI).The article presents the results of computer simulations aimed to assess the influence of tree spatial locations (planting schemes) on the productivity and the dynamics of soil fertility in forest plantations. The growth of aspen (Populus tremula L.) in plantations with short rotation (30 years) was simulated in the EFIMOD system of models with the soil and climatic data matching forested lands in the Mari El Republic. The outcome reveals that higher biomass rates, increase in soil organic matter stocks, and the minimal loss of soil nitrogen can be obtained when the distance between trees in the row equals 1–4 m and 4–6 м in aisles.
