The modeling of dense materials with spherepolyhedra packing method
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2012, v. 4, no. 4, pp. 757-766

The paper presents a new dense material modeling method based on spherepolyhedra packing algorithm, describes mathematical model of spherepolyhedra and discuss the results of computation experiments on different spherepolyhedra packs. The results of experiments show convergence of proposed method. Experiments include investigations of spherepolyhedra packs with different shapes, polydisperse and oriented structures. Presented method would be applied to virtual design of dense materials composed of non-spherical particles.

Modeling of behavior of panicked crowd in multi-floor branched space
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 3, pp. 491-508

The collective behavior of crowd leaving a room is modeled. The model is based on molecular dynamics approach with a mixture of socio-psychological and physical forces. The new algorithm for complicatedly branched space is proposed. It suggests that each individual develops its own plan of escape, which is stochastically transformed during the evolution. The algorithm includes also the separation of original space into rooms with possible exits selected by individuals according to their probability distribution. The model is calibrated on the base of empirical data provided by fire case in the nightclub “Lame Horse” (Perm, 2009). The algorithm is realized as an end-user Java software. It is assumed that this tool could help to test the buildings for their safety for humans.

Modeling system of extrusion and forming polymeric materials for blown film quality control
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 1, pp. 137-158

Flexible software for modeling polymeric film production by use of blown extrusion has been developed. It consists of library of mathematical models for extrusion and forming blown film, sub-system for changeover to new type of film and sub-system for investigation of extrusion and forming for film quality control under film production. The sub-system for changeover allows to choose the equipment of extrusion line on technical and economic indices, to synthesize 3D model of the line and to generate regulation ranges of regime parameters for given type of film. The sub-system for investigation allows to calculate temperature profiles of heating and cooling material, geometrical and optical characteristics of film depending on regime parameters for stages of extrusion and forming and to evaluate regime parameters ensuring given quality of polymeric film.

Simulation of microstructure evolutions of VT6 alloy during isothermal forging using Deform software
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 6, pp. 975-982

The article contains results of modeling of bi-modal microstructure evolution of VT6 alloy during isothermal forging. The model of recrystallization based on dislocation approach to nucleation and growth of nuclear was made to calculate recrystallization processes of the secondary alpha phase. The globularization process of lamellar alpha phase was calculated with assumption of diffusion-control migration of beta-phase boundary due to grain boundary diffusion of vanadium atom. The theoretical results were compared with experimental one.

High performance computations on hybrid systems: will "grand challenges" be solved?
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 3, pp. 429-437

Based on CFD computations we provide the analysis of the possibilities for using modern hybrid distributed computational environments for large complex system simulation. We argue that only multilevel approach supported by new mathematical models of transport properties, dynamical representation of the problem with transport and internal processes separated, and modern paradigm of programming, taking into account specific properties of heterogeneous system, will make it possible to scale the problem effectively.

    Cloud computing for virtual testbed
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 3, pp. 753-758

Nowadays cloud computing is an important topic in the field of information technology and computer system. Several companies and educational institutes have deployed cloud infrastructures to overcome their problems such as easy data access, software updates with minimal cost, large or unlimited storage, efficient cost factor, backup storage and disaster recovery, and some other benefits if compare with the traditional network infrastructures. The paper present the study of cloud computing technology for marine environmental data and processing. Cloud computing of marine environment information is proposed for the integration and sharing of marine information resources. It is highly desirable to perform empirical requiring numerous interactions with web servers and transfers of very large archival data files without affecting operational information system infrastructure. In this paper, we consider the cloud computing for virtual testbed to minimize the cost. That is related to real time infrastructure.

Numerical modeling of straight 3D exploration seismology problems with use of grid-characteristic method on unstructured tetrahedral meshes
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 4, pp. 875-887

The article contains results of 3D modeling of seismic responses from fractured geological formations with use of grid-characteristic method on unstructured tetrahedral meshes with use of high-performance computation systems. The method being used is the most suitable for modeling of heterogenic domains exploration seismology problems. The use of unstructured tetrahedral meshes allows modeling of different geometry and space orientation fractures. That gives us possibility to solve the problems in the most real set.

Empirical testing of institutional matrices theory by data mining
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 4, pp. 923-939

The paper has a goal to identify a set of parameters of the environment and infrastructure with the most significant impact on institutional-matrices that dominate in different countries. Parameters of environmental conditions includes raw statistical indices, which were directly derived from the databases of open access, as well as complex integral indicators that were by method of principal components. Efficiency of discussed parameters in task of dominant institutional matrices type recognition (X or Y type) was evaluated by a number of methods based on machine learning. It was revealed that greatest informational content is associated with parameters characterizing risk of natural disasters, level of urbanization and the development of transport infrastructure, the monthly averages and seasonal variations of temperature and precipitation.

Training and assessment the generalization ability of interpolation methods
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 5, pp. 1023-1031

We investigate machine learning methods with a certain kind of decision rule. In particular, inverse-distance method of interpolation, method of interpolation by radial basis functions, the method of multidimensional interpolation and approximation, based on the theory of random functions, the last method of interpolation is kriging. This paper shows a method of rapid retraining “model” when adding new data to the existing ones. The term “model” means interpolating or approximating function constructed from the training data. This approach reduces the computational complexity of constructing an updated “model” from $O(n^3)$ to $O(n^2)$. We also investigate the possibility of a rapid assessment of generalizing opportunities “model” on the training set using the method of cross-validation leave-one-out cross-validation, eliminating the major drawback of this approach — the necessity to build a new “model” for each element which is removed from the training set.
