Study and optimization of wireless sensor network based on ZigBee protocol
Computer Research and Modeling, 2012, v. 4, no. 4, pp. 855-869Views (last year): 5. Citations: 12 (RSCI).Algorithms of wireless sensor networks operation based on modified ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack and problems of energy saving with simultaneous decrease of network latency are studied. Theoretical computations are given. Roles distribution and routers schedule assignment algorithms are described. Both results of experiments carried out with real devices and results of simulations with ns-2 (open-source network simulator) are given and analyzed.

Optimal control of bank investment as a factorof economic stability
Computer Research and Modeling, 2012, v. 4, no. 4, pp. 959-967Views (last year): 5.This paper presents a model of replenishment of bank liquidity by additional income of banks. Given the methodological basis for the necessity for bank stabilization funds to cover losses during the economy crisis. An econometric derivation of the equations describing the behavior of the bank financial and operating activity performed. In accordance with the purpose of creating a stabilization fund introduces an optimality criterion used controls. Based on the equations of the behavior of the bank by the method of dynamic programming is derived a vector of optimal controls.

Combination of different simulation techniques in the complex model of photosynthetic membrane
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 1, pp. 65-81Complex geometric organization of subcellular structures such as photosynthetic or mitochondrial membranes determines mechanism of electron and proton transfer processes. We propose new approach in modeling processes, where geometric shape of membranes is accurately taken into account. Different stages of charge transfer process are simulated using different approaches, which are integrated into a combined model. We implemented this model as software which utilizes parallel computations on high-performance clusters and GPUs for better performance.

Mathematical modeling of stochastic equilibria and business cycles of Goodwin model
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 1, pp. 107-118Views (last year): 5. Citations: 4 (RSCI).The Goodwin dynamical model under the random external disturbances is considered. A full parametrical analysis for equlibria and cycles of deterministic model is developed. We study probabilistic properties of stochastic attractors using stochastic sensitivity functions technique and numerical methods. A phenomenon of the generation of stochastic business cycles in the zones of stable equilibria is discussed.

A possible modification of the discrete mathematical model of transport network dynamics
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 3, pp. 395-401Views (last year): 5. Citations: 5 (RSCI).The aim of this article is to study the discrete mathematical model of transport network dynamics, recently built by author. The study showed some drawbacks of the basic model and the ways of overcoming these drawbacks, and an improved version of the model was proposed. Simulation systems, created on the basis of this new model were used to do test calculations similar to those previously done with the help of the basic model. The results of these calculations with both models are compared.

Model method of vertical chlorophyll concentration reconstruction from satellite data
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 3, pp. 473-482Views (last year): 5. Citations: 2 (RSCI).A model, describing the influence of external factors on temporal evolution of phytoplankton distribution in a horizontally-homogenous water layer, is presented. This model is based upon the reactiondiffusion equation and takes into account the main factors of influence: mineral nutrients, insolation and temperature. The mineral nutrients and insolation act oppositely on spatial phytoplankton distribution. The results of numerical modeling are presented and the prospect of applying this model to reconstruction of phytoplankton distribution from sea-surface satellite data is discussed. The model was used to estimate the chlorophyll content of the Peter the Great Bay (Sea of Japan).

A universal method for constructing the simulation model of complex multi-agent systems
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 4, pp. 513-523Views (last year): 5. Citations: 2 (RSCI).This paper presents a universal method for constructing an agent-based model of complex systems for their further clear computer representation by means of object-oriented programming languages. The method specifies both steps of model developing from the mathematical description of the system to the determined architecture of the program simulating the system. The efficiency of the method is illustrated by the construction of the two simulation models for the complex systems of various origins: the interactive simulation of the stock exchange and space-time simulation of biological species competition.

Modelling of an effluence of drilling fluid from hydraulic holes of PDC bits
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 4, pp. 649-658Views (last year): 5. Citations: 2 (RSCI).In this article some results of mathematic modelling of an effluence of drilling fluid from hydraulic holes of PDC bit are presented. Distribution of velocity and pressure in borehole bottom are received, and erosion of interior surface of hydraulic channel of PDC bit is researched.

Investigation of C-Cadherin mechanical properties by Molecular Dynamics
Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 4, pp. 727-735Views (last year): 5.The mechanical stability of cell adhesion protein Cadherin with explicit model of water is studied by the method of molecular dynamics. The protein in apo-form and with the ions of different types (Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+) was unfolding with a constant speed by applying the force to the ends. Eight independent experiments were done for each form of the protein. It was shown that univalent ions stabilize the structure less than bivalent one under mechanical unfolding of the protein. A model system composed of two amino acids and the metal ion between them demonstrates properties similar to that of the cadherin in the stretching experiments. The systems with potassium and sodium ions have less mechanical stability then the systems with calcium and magnesium ions.
