Probabilistic aspects of “computer analogy” method for solving differential equations
Computer Research and Modeling, 2009, v. 1, no. 1, pp. 21-31Views (last year): 3. Citations: 1 (RSCI).Method which allows to obtain explicit form of the solution as a part of power series of the argument step is developed. Formalization of characteristics of the algorithm analogous to operations of a computer is performed. The operation of transfer from one rank to another leads to a probability scheme of the algorithm that averages unknown intermediate steps in higher ranks of the series. The stochastic characteristics of the method are studied and illustrated. Examples of solving nonlinear equations and systems of nonlinear differential equations are presented.

Impact of weak electro-magnetic fields on biological activity of water phase
Computer Research and Modeling, 2009, v. 1, no. 1, pp. 101-108It was found that water preliminary activated by a vector potential changes mobility of infusoria, rate of sugar fermentation in yeast cells and is more attractive for drinking for mice. Modifications of certain physical characteristics of water (UV absorbtions spectrum and state of a silica admixture) was also discovered. It was supposed that water is the primary target for weak electro-magnetic fields impact on biological objects.

Soliton and half-soliton interaction of solitary waves in excitable media with non-linear cross-diffusion
Computer Research and Modeling, 2009, v. 1, no. 1, pp. 109-115Views (last year): 3.We have studied properties of non-linear waves in a mathematical model of a predator – prey system with taxis. We demonstrate that, for systems with negative and positive taxis there typically exists a large region in the parameter space, where the waves demonstrate quasi-soliton interaction; colliding waves can penetrate through each other, and waves can also reflect from impermeable boundaries. In this paper, we use numerical simulations to demonstrate also a new wave phenomenon — a half-soliton interaction of waves, when of two colliding waves, one annihilates and the other continues to propagate. We show that this effect depends on the «ages» or, equivalently, «widths» of the colliding waves.

Reasons for nonlinearity: globality and noncommutativity
Computer Research and Modeling, 2009, v. 1, no. 4, pp. 355-358Views (last year): 3.A dynamic process modeled by ordinary differential equations is considered. If a nonautonomous system of ordinary differential equations has a general solution in a certain area, than the system can be simplified by nonautonomous substitution of variables: right parts turn to zeroes. Right parts of an autonomous system of ordinary differential equations in the neighborhood of nonsingular points can be linearized. A separable system where the right part contains linear combination of autonomous vector fields and factors are functions of independent variable is considered. If the fields commute than they can be linearized by general substitution of variables.

Mathematical model of tumor growth with migration and proliferation dichotomy
Computer Research and Modeling, 2009, v. 1, no. 4, pp. 415-422Mathematical model of infiltrative tumour growth taking into account transitions between two possible states of malignant cell is investigated. These transitions are considered to depend on oxygen level in a threshold manner: high oxygen concentration allows cell proliferation, while concentration below some critical value induces cell migration. Dependence of infiltrative tumour spreading rate on model parameters has been studied. It is demonstrated that if the level of tissue oxygenation is high, tumour spreading rate remains almost constant; otherwise the spreading rate decreases dramatically with oxygen depletion.

Numerical modeling of population 2D-dynamics with nonlocal interaction
Computer Research and Modeling, 2010, v. 2, no. 1, pp. 33-40Views (last year): 3. Citations: 5 (RSCI).Numerical solutions for the two-dimensional reaction-diffusion equation with nonlocal nonlinearity are obtained. The solutions reveal formation of dissipative structures. Structures arising from initial distributions with one and several centers of localization are considered. Formation of extending circular structures is shown. Peculiarities of formation and interaction of extending circular structures depending on nonlocal interaction are considered.

A new biometric approach and efficient system for automatic detection and analysis of digital retinal images
Computer Research and Modeling, 2010, v. 2, no. 2, pp. 189-197Views (last year): 3.The program for automatic revealing of threshold values for characterizing physiological state of vessels and detection of early stages of retina pathology is offered. The algorithm is based on checking character of crossing sites of vessel images with the "mask" consisting of concentric circumferences (the first circumference is imposed directly on the sclera capsules of an optic nerve disk). The new method allows revealing of a network of blood vessels and flanking zones and detection of initial stage of pathological changes in a retina by digital images.
