The correction to Newton's methods of optimization
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 4, pp. 835-863Views (last year): 1. Citations: 6 (RSCI).An approach to the decrease of norm of the correction in Newton’s methods of optimization, based on the Cholesky’s factorization is presented, which is based on the integration with the technique of the choice of leading element of algorithm of linear programming as a method of solving the system of equations. We investigate the issues of increasing of the numerical stability of the Cholesky’s decomposition and the Gauss’ method of exception.

Bottom stability in closed conduits
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 5, pp. 1061-1068Views (last year): 1. Citations: 2 (RSCI).In this paper on the basis of the riverbed model proposed earlier the one-dimensional stability problem of closed flow channel with sandy bed is solved. The feature of the investigated problem is used original equation of riverbed deformations, which takes into account the influence of mechanical and granulometric bed material characteristics and the bed slope when riverbed analyzing. Another feature of the discussed problem is the consideration together with shear stress influence normal stress influence when investigating the riverbed instability. The analytical dependence determined the wave length of fast-growing bed perturbations is obtained from the solution of the sandy bed stability problem for closed flow channel. The analysis of the obtained analytical dependence is performed. It is shown that the obtained dependence generalizes the row of well-known empirical formulas: Coleman, Shulyak and Bagnold. The structure of the obtained analytical dependence denotes the existence of two hydrodynamic regimes characterized by the Froude number, at which the bed perturbations growth can strongly or weakly depend on the Froude number. Considering a natural stochasticity of the waves movement process and the presence of a definition domain of the solution with a weak dependence on the Froude numbers it can be concluded that the experimental observation of the of the bed waves movement development should lead to the data acquisition with a significant dispersion and it occurs in reality.

Pareto optimal analysis of global warming prevention by geoengineering methods
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 5, pp. 1097-1108Views (last year): 1. Citations: 3 (RSCI).The study is based on a three-dimensional hydrodynamic global climate coupled model, including ocean model with real depths and continents configuration, sea ice evolution model and energy and moisture balance atmosphere model. Aerosol concentration from the year 2010 to 2100 is calculated as a controlling parameter to stabilize mean year surface air temperature. It is shown that by this way it is impossible to achieve the space and seasonal uniform approximation to the existing climate, although it is possible significantly reduce the greenhouse warming effect. Climate will be colder at 0.1–0.2 degrees in the low and mid-latitudes and at high latitudes it will be warmer at 0.2–1.2 degrees. The Pareto frontier is investigated and visualized for two parameters — atmospheric temperature mean square deviation for the winter and summer seasons. The Pareto optimal amount of sulfur emissions would be between 23.5 and 26.5 TgS/year.

Protection of biological resources in the coastal area: the mathematical model
Computer Research and Modeling, 2015, v. 7, no. 5, pp. 1109-1125Views (last year): 1. Citations: 1 (RSCI).Protection of aquatic biological resources in the coastal area has significant features (a large number of small fishing vessels, the dynamism of the situation, the use of coastal protection), by virtue of which stands in a class of applications. A mathematical model of protection designed for the determination of detection equipment and means of violators of the situation in order to ensure the function of deterrence of illegal activities. Resolves a tactical game-theoretic problem - find the optimal line patrol (parking) means of implementation (guard boats) and optimal removal of seats from the shore fishing violators. Using the methods of the theory of experimental design, linear regression models to assess the contribution of the main factors affecting the results of the simulation.
In order to enhance the sustainability and adequacy of the model is proposed to use the mechanism of rankings means of protection, based on the borders and the rank and Pareto allows to take into account the principles of protection and further means of protection. To account for the variability of the situation offered several scenarios in which it is advisable to perform calculations.

Calculation of particular solutions of nonhomogeneous linear equations with two linear operators, of which at least one is almost algebraic, in the case of simple roots of the characteristic equation
Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 1, pp. 9-18Views (last year): 1.The concept of an operator is an almost algebraic with respect to two-sided ideal of the algebra of linear operators in some finite-dimensional linear spaces, it extended to the case when the ideal is left. We prove a theorem on the following equation particular solution $\sum\limits^{n, m}_{i=0, j=0} a_{ij} A^i B^j u = f$, where $A$ and $B$ is a linear operator, $f$ is an element of a linear space. The result is applied to the differential-difference equations.

The algorithm of the method for calculating quality classes’ boundaries for quantitative systems’ characteristics and for determination of interactions between characteristics. Part 1. Calculation for two quality classes
Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 1, pp. 19-36Views (last year): 1. Citations: 6 (RSCI).A calculation method for boundaries of quality classes for quantitative systems characteristics of any nature is suggested. The method allows to determine interactions which are not detectable using correlation and regression analysis; quality classes’ boundaries of systems’ condition indicator and boundaries of the factors influencing this condition; contribution of the factors to a degree of «inadmissibility» of indicator values; sufficiency of the program observing the factors to describe the causes of «inadmissibility» of indicator values.

Modeling of H2-permeability of alloys for gas separation membranes
Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 1, pp. 121-135Views (last year): 1. Citations: 7 (RSCI).High-purity hydrogen is required for clean energy and a variety of chemical technology processes. A considerable part of hydrogen is to be obtained by methane conversion. Different alloys, which may be wellsuited for use in gas-separation plants, were investigated by measuring specific hydrogen permeability. One had to estimate the parameters of diffusion and sorption to numerically model the different scenarios and experimental conditions of the material usage (including extreme ones), and identify the limiting factors. This paper presents a nonlinear model of hydrogen permeability in accordance with the specifics of the experiment, the numerical method for solving the boundary-value problem, and the results of parametric identification for the alloy V85Ni15.

Sectional model of non-free tree growth
Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 2, pp. 307-322Views (last year): 1. Citations: 1 (RSCI).The three-dimensional model of biomass dynamics of a tree growing on a limited territory presented. The tree consists of structural sections periodically arising on its top. Each section generates a virtual "tree". Adjacent virtual trees are nested each other and their difference is the section. Sections have biomass dynamics which differs from the dynamics of the tree and gradually die off (including in course of the free growth of the tree), giving effect denudation of trunk from bottom. This is observed in nature. The 3D-model of biomass dynamics of a tree, growing in a limited area, for describing the biomass dynamics of sections and their constituent sectors uses equations similar to those proposed earlier for the 2D-tree model. Examples of biomass dynamics of sectors, sections and tree obtained using the developed model are presented. The dynamics of the hodographs of the azimuthal biomass distribution of sections demonstrates that the lower sections of a tree growing in a limited area, are in oppression and die (more quickly compared with the model of freely growing tree), and new sections on top of the tree appear and grow freely. As a result, "wave" of tree biomass runs up the trunk.
