  1. This paper considers the integrated approach to modeling the dynamics of genetic structure and the number of natural population. A set of dynamic models with different types of natural selection is used to describe a possible mechanism for the fixing of a genetic diversity in size of the litter in coastal, continental and farmed populations of arctic fox (Alopex lagopus, Canidae, Carnivora) observed now. The most interesting results have been obtained with the model of population consisting of two stages of development. At that with the frame of this model a dynamics of population genetic structure on genotypes was analyzed to consider different reproductive abilities and fitnesses of pups on the early stage of lifecycle which defined by the single diallelic gene. This model allows to receive a monomorphism for coastal populations of arctic fox, where food resources are practically constant. As well the model allows polymorphism with cyclical fluctuations in the number and frequency of the gene in the continental populations due to regular fluctuating of rodent number, the major component of its food. In farmed populations by selective selection carried out by farmers to increase the reproductive success, this gene is a pleiotropic one (i. e., determining the survival rate of individuals both early and late stages of their life cycle); so an application of appropriate model (with the selection of pleiotropic gene) allows to get an adequate rate of elimination for small litters allele.

Direct multiplicative methods for sparse matrices. Linear programming
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2017, v. 9, no. 2, pp. 143-165

Multiplicative methods for sparse matrices are best suited to reduce the complexity of operations solving systems of linear equations performed on each iteration of the simplex method. The matrix of constraints in these problems of sparsely populated nonzero elements, which allows to obtain the multipliers, the main columns which are also sparse, and the operation of multiplication of a vector by a multiplier according to the complexity proportional to the number of nonzero elements of this multiplier. In addition, the transition to the adjacent basis multiplier representation quite easily corrected. To improve the efficiency of such methods requires a decrease in occupancy multiplicative representation of the nonzero elements. However, at each iteration of the algorithm to the sequence of multipliers added another. As the complexity of multiplication grows and linearly depends on the length of the sequence. So you want to run from time to time the recalculation of inverse matrix, getting it from the unit. Overall, however, the problem is not solved. In addition, the set of multipliers is a sequence of structures, and the size of this sequence is inconvenient is large and not precisely known. Multiplicative methods do not take into account the factors of the high degree of sparseness of the original matrices and constraints of equality, require the determination of initial basic feasible solution of the problem and, consequently, do not allow to reduce the dimensionality of a linear programming problem and the regular procedure of compression — dimensionality reduction of multipliers and exceptions of the nonzero elements from all the main columns of multipliers obtained in previous iterations. Thus, the development of numerical methods for the solution of linear programming problems, which allows to overcome or substantially reduce the shortcomings of the schemes implementation of the simplex method, refers to the current problems of computational mathematics.

In this paper, the approach to the construction of numerically stable direct multiplier methods for solving problems in linear programming, taking into account sparseness of matrices, presented in packaged form. The advantage of the approach is to reduce dimensionality and minimize filling of the main rows of multipliers without compromising accuracy of the results and changes in the position of the next processed row of the matrix are made that allows you to use static data storage formats.

As a direct continuation of this work is the basis for constructing a direct multiplicative algorithm set the direction of descent in the Newton methods for unconstrained optimization is proposed to put a modification of the direct multiplier method, linear programming by integrating one of the existing design techniques significantly positive definite matrix of the second derivatives.

On the convergence of the implicit iterative line-by-line recurrence method for solving difference elliptical equations
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2017, v. 9, no. 6, pp. 857-880

In the article a theory of the implicit iterative line-by-line recurrence method for solving the systems of finite-difference equations which arise as a result of approximation of the two-dimensional elliptic differential equations on a regular grid is stated. On the one hand, the high effectiveness of the method has confirmed in practice. Some complex test problems, as well as several problems of fluid flow and heat transfer of a viscous incompressible liquid, have solved with its use. On the other hand, the theoretical provisions that explain the high convergence rate of the method and its stability are not yet presented in the literature. This fact is the reason for the present investigation. In the paper, the procedure of equivalent and approximate transformations of the initial system of linear algebraic equations (SLAE) is described in detail. The transformations are presented in a matrix-vector form, as well as in the form of the computational formulas of the method. The key points of the transformations are illustrated by schemes of changing of the difference stencils that correspond to the transformed equations. The canonical form of the method is the goal of the transformation procedure. The correctness of the method follows from the canonical form in the case of the solution convergence. The estimation of norms of the matrix operators is carried out on the basis of analysis of structures and element sets of the corresponding matrices. As a result, the convergence of the method is proved for arbitrary initial vectors of the solution of the problem.

The norm of the transition matrix operator is estimated in the special case of weak restrictions on a desired solution. It is shown, that the value of this norm decreases proportionally to the second power (or third degree, it depends on the version of the method) of the grid step of the problem solution area in the case of transition matrix order increases. The necessary condition of the method stability is obtained by means of simple estimates of the vector of an approximate solution. Also, the estimate in order of magnitude of the optimum iterative compensation parameter is given. Theoretical conclusions are illustrated by using the solutions of the test problems. It is shown, that the number of the iterations required to achieve a given accuracy of the solution decreases if a grid size of the solution area increases. It is also demonstrated that if the weak restrictions on solution are violated in the choice of the initial approximation of the solution, then the rate of convergence of the method decreases essentially in full accordance with the deduced theoretical results.

    Solids composed of thin plates
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 5, pp. 655-670

The paper demonstrates a fractal system of thin plates connected with hinges. The system can be studied using the methods of mechanics of solids with internal degrees of freedom. The structure is deployable — initially it is close to a small diameter one-dimensional manifold that occupies significant volume after deployment. The geometry of solids is studied using the method of the moving hedron. The relations enabling to define the geometry of the introduced manifolds are derived based on the Cartan structure equations. The proof substantially makes use of the fact that the fractal consists of thin plates that are not long compared to the sizes of the system. The mechanics is described for the solids with rigid plastic hinges between the plates, when the hinges are made of shape memory material. Based on the ultimate load theorems, estimates are performed to specify internal pressure that is required to deploy the package into a three-dimensional structure, and heat input needed to return the system into its initial state.

Numerical solving of an inverse problem of a hyperbolic heat equation with small parameter
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2023, v. 15, no. 2, pp. 245-258

In this paper we describe an algorithm of numerical solving of an inverse problem on a hyperbolic heat equation with additional second time derivative with a small parameter. The problem in this case is finding an initial distribution with given final distribution. This algorithm allows finding a solution to the problem for any admissible given precision. Algorithm allows evading difficulties analogous to the case of heat equation with inverted time. Furthermore, it allows finding an optimal grid size by learning on a relatively big grid size and small amount of iterations of a gradient method and later extrapolates to the required grid size using Richardson’s method. This algorithm allows finding an adequate estimate of Lipschitz constant for the gradient of the target functional. Finally, this algorithm may easily be applied to the problems with similar structure, for example in solving equations for plasma, social processes and various biological problems. The theoretical novelty of the paper consists in the developing of an optimal procedure of finding of the required grid size using Richardson extrapolations for optimization problems with inexact gradient in ill-posed problems.

Mathematical modeling of SHS process in heterogeneous reactive powder mixtures
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2011, v. 3, no. 2, pp. 147-153

In this paper we present a mathematical model and numerical results on a propagation of the combustion front of the SHS compound, where the rate of chemical reaction at each point of the SHS sample is determined by solving the problem of diffusion and chemical reaction in the reaction cell. We obtained the dependence of the combustion front on the size of the average element of a heterogeneous structure with different values of the diffusion intensity. These dependences agree qualitatively with the experimental data. We studied the effect of activation energy for diffusion on the propagation velocity of combustion front. It is revealed the propagation of the combustion front transforms to an oscillatory regime at increase in activation energy of diffusion. A transition boundary of the combustion front propagation from the steady-state regime to the oscillatory one is defined.

    Cities road networks
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 5, pp. 775-786

Road network infrastructure is the basis of any urban area. This article compares the structural characteristics (meshedness coefficient, clustering coefficient) road networks of Moscow center (Old Moscow), formed as a result of self-organization and roads near Leninsky Prospekt (postwar Moscow), which was result of cetralized planning. Data for the construction of road networks in the form of graphs taken from the Internet resource OpenStreetMap, allowing to accurately identify the coordinates of the intersections. According to the characteristics of the calculated Moscow road networks areas the cities with road network which have a similar structure to the two Moscow areas was found in foreign publications. Using the dual representation of road networks of centers of Moscow and St. Petersburg, studied the information and cognitive features of navigation in these tourist areas of the two capitals. In the construction of the dual graph of the studied areas were not taken into account the different types of roads (unidirectional or bi-directional traffic, etc), that is built dual graphs are undirected. Since the road network in the dual representation are described by a power law distribution of vertices on the number of edges (scale-free networks), exponents of these distributions were calculated. It is shown that the information complexity of the dual graph of the center of Moscow exceeds the cognitive threshold 8.1 bits, and the same feature for the center of St. Petersburg below this threshold, because the center of St. Petersburg road network was created on the basis of planning and therefore more easy to navigate. In conclusion, using the methods of statistical mechanics (the method of calculating the partition functions) for the road network of some Russian cities the Gibbs entropy were calculated. It was found that with the road network size increasing their entropy decreases. We discuss the problem of studying the evolution of urban infrastructure networks of different nature (public transport, supply , communication networks, etc.), which allow us to more deeply explore and understand the fundamental laws of urbanization.

Mathematical simulation of vortex motion in the astrophysical objects on the basis of the gas-dynamic model
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2018, v. 10, no. 5, pp. 631-643

The application of a conservative numerical method of fluxes is examined for studying the vortex structures in the massive, fast-turned compact astrophysical objects, which are in self-gravity conditions. The simulation is accomplished for the objects with different mass and rotational speed. The pictures of the vortex structure of objects are visualized. In the calculations the gas-dynamic model is used, in which gas is accepted perfected and nonviscous. Numerical procedure is based on the finite-difference approximation of the conservation laws of the additive characteristics of medium for the finite volume. The “upwind” approximations of the densities of distribution of mass, components of momentum and total energy are applied. For the simulation of the objects, which possess fast-spin motion, the control of conservation for the component of moment of momentun is carried out during calculation. Evolutionary calculation is carried out on the basis of the parallel algorithms, realized on the computer complex of cluster architecture. Algorithms are based on the standardized system of message transfer Message Passing Interface (MPI). The blocking procedures of exchange and non-blocking procedures of exchange with control of the completion of operation are used. The parallelization on the space in two or three directions is carried out depending on the size of integration area and parameters of computational grid. For each subarea the parallelization based on the physical factors is carried out also: the calculations of gas dynamics part and gravitational forces are realized on the different processors, that allows to raise the efficiency of algorithms. The real possibility of the direct calculation of gravitational forces by means of the summation of interaction between all finite volumes in the integration area is shown. For the finite volume methods this approach seems to more consecutive than the solution of Poisson’s equation for the gravitational potential. Numerical calculations were carried out on the computer complex of cluster architecture with the peak productivity 523 TFlops. In the calculations up to thousand processors was used.

    Stiffness modeling for anthropomorphic robots
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2019, v. 11, no. 4, pp. 631-651

In the work modeling method of anthropomorphic platforms is presented. An elastostatic stiffness model is used to determine positioning errors in the robot’s lower limbs. One of the main problems in achieving a fast and stable gait are deflections caused by the flexibility in the elements of the robot. This problem was solved using virtual joint modeling to predict stiffness and deformation caused by the robot weight and external forces.

To simulate a robot in the single-support phase, the robot is represented as a serial kinematic chain with a base at the supporting leg point of contact and an end effector in the swing leg foot. In the double support phase robot modeled as a parallel manipulator with an end effector in the pelvis. In this work, two cases of stiffness modeling are used: taking into account the compliance of the links and joints and taking into account only the compliance of joints. In the last case, joint compliances also include part of the link compliances. The joint stiffness parameters have been identified for two anthropomorphic robots: a small platform and a full-sized AR-601M.

Deflections maps were calculated using identified stiffness parameters and showing errors depending on the position of the robot end effector in the workspace. The errors in Z directions have maximum amplitude, due to the influence of the robot mass on its structure.

Modeling the physical processes of a powerful nuclear explosion on an asteroid
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2019, v. 11, no. 5, pp. 861-877

As part of the paper, a physical and theoretical analysis of the impact processes of various factors of a highaltitude and high-energy nuclear explosion on the asteroid in extra-atmospheric conditions of open space is done. It is shown that, in accordance with the energy and permeability of the plasma of explosion products, X-ray and gamma-neutron radiation, a layered structure with a different energy density depending on angular coordinates is formed on the surface of the asteroid. The temporal patterns of the energy transformation for each layer is clarified and the roles of various photo- and collision processes are determined. The effect of a high-speed plasma flow is erosive in nature, and the plasma pulse is transmitted to the asteroid. The paper presents that in a thin layer of x-ray absorption, the asteroid substance is heated to high temperatures and as a result of its expansion, a recoil impulse is formed, which is not decisive due to the small mass of the expanding high-temperature plasma. Calculations shows that the main impulse received by an asteroid is associated with the entrainment of a heated layer of a substance formed by a neutron flux (7.5 E 1014 g E cm/s). It is shown that an asteroid with a radius of ~100 m acquires a velocity of . 100 cm/s. The calculations were performed taking into account the explosion energy spent on the destruction of the amorphous structure of the asteroid material (~1 eV/atom = 3.8 E 1010 erg/g) and ionization in the region of the high-temperature layer. Based on a similar analysis, an approximation is obtained for estimating the average size of fragments in the event of the possible destruction of the asteroid by shock waves generated inside it under the influence of pressure impulses. A physical experiment was conducted in laboratory conditions, simulating the fragmentation of a stone asteroid and confirming the validity of the obtained dependence on the selected values of certain parameters. As a result of numerical studies of the effects of the explosion, carried out at different distances from the surface of the asteroid, it is shown that taking into account the real geometry of the spallation layer gives the optimal height for the formation of the maximum asteroid momentum by a factor of 1.5 greater than similar estimates according to the simplified model. A two-stage concept of the impact of nuclear explosions on an asteroid using radar guidance tools is proposed. The paper analyzes the possible impact of the emerging ionization interference on the radar tracking of the movement of large fragments of the asteroid in the space-time evolution of all elements of the studied dynamic system.
