On the efficiency of the maximum cross section method in radiation transport theory
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 4, pp. 573-582

We consider two versions of the maximum cross section method for the solutions of the stationary equation of radiative transfer in dimensional inhomogeneous medium. Both are based on the application Monte-Carlo method to the summation of the Neumann series for the solution transport equation. First modification is traditional and second is based on the use of branching Markov chains. We carried out numerical comparison of these algorithms.

Numerical modeling of flows with flow swirling
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 4, pp. 635-648

This paper is devoted to investigation of the swirl flows. Such flows are widely used in various industrial processes. Swirl flows can be accompanied by time-dependent effects, for example, precession of the vortex core. In turn, the large-scale fluctuations due to the precession of the vortex can cause damage of structures and reduce of equipment reliability. Thus, for engineering calculations approaches that sufficiently well described such flows are required. This paper presents the technique of swirl flows calculation, tested for CFD packages Fluent and SigmaFlow. A numerical simulation of several swirl flow test problems was carried out. Obtained results are compared with each other and with the experimental data.

Modelling of an effluence of drilling fluid from hydraulic holes of PDC bits
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 4, pp. 649-658

In this article some results of mathematic modelling of an effluence of drilling fluid from hydraulic holes of PDC bit are presented. Distribution of velocity and pressure in borehole bottom are received, and erosion of interior surface of hydraulic channel of PDC bit is researched.

Liquid Heptane and Cylcohexane Properties Modeling
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 5, pp. 813-820

The models of liquid heptane and cyclohexane has been developed. The properties of model liquids appear to be in a good agreement with a properties of real liquids. X-Ray diffraction spectra of model liquids were also in a good agreement with experimental ones. Radial distribution functions analysis allows us to reveal a crucial molecular feature of cyclohexane. Isometric molecules of cyclohexane are packed more tightly and regular. Tight packing lead to the free volume deficiency, which could explain increased viscosity and melting temperature of cyclohexane.

Simulation of asteroid braking in the Earth atmosphere
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 6, pp. 917-926

This article is investigated phenomenon of asteroid braking in neighborhood Chelyabinsk. Simulation of trajectory and asteroid basic parameters is accomplished on the basis of not numerous fixed video film and measurements. Calculation of hypersonic flow around asteroid is carried out before and after asteroid collapse. Possible version of asteroids synchronous braking is discussed. Trajectory data and gas dynamic functions are presented as data for definition of asteroid collapse.

Propagation of Rayleigh waves at oblique impact of the meteorite about the earth’s surface and their effects on buildings and structures
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2013, v. 5, no. 6, pp. 981-992

In this paper the dynamic elasticity problem of the simultaneous normal and tangential impact on the half-space is solved. This problem simulates the oblique incidence of meteorite on the Earth’s surface. The surface Rayleigh wave is investigated. The resulting solution is used as an external effect on the high-rise building, located at some distance from the spot of falling for the safety and stability assessment of its structure. Numerical experiments were made based on the finite element software package STARK ES. Upper floors amplitudes of the selected object were calculated under such dynamic effects. Also a systematic comparison with the results at the foundation vibrations, relevant to  standard a 8-point earthquake accelerograms, was made.

Numerical simulation of charging processes at ferroelectric diagnostics with scanning electron microscopy techniques
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 1, pp. 107-118

An algorithm of applied problem solving was described to calculate electrical characteristics of electrical field effects in ferroelectrics electron-beam charged. The algorithm was based on implementation of the deterministic model using finite element method as well as taking into account Monte-Carlo simulation results of electron transport. The program application was developed to perform computing experiments.

Correct conditions on the boundary separating subdomains
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 3, pp. 347-356

This paper presents definition and solution problem of correct conditions on the boundary, separating subdomains for hyperbolic linear equation systems. The solution algorithm is demonstrated by means of an example system of elastodynamic equations for two spatial variables. Stated approach can be easily expanded on systems of first-order linear hyperbolic equations with random number of spatial variables.

On a possible approach to a sport game with continuous time simulation
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2014, v. 6, no. 3, pp. 455-460

This paper is dedicated to discussing methods of statistical modeling the outcomes of sport events and, particularly, matches with continuous time. We propose a simulation-based approach to predicting the outcome of a match, somehow medium between pure statistical methods and agent simulation of individual players. An example of retrospective prediction is given.
