Modeling the physical processes of a powerful nuclear explosion on an asteroid
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2019, v. 11, no. 5, pp. 861-877

As part of the paper, a physical and theoretical analysis of the impact processes of various factors of a highaltitude and high-energy nuclear explosion on the asteroid in extra-atmospheric conditions of open space is done. It is shown that, in accordance with the energy and permeability of the plasma of explosion products, X-ray and gamma-neutron radiation, a layered structure with a different energy density depending on angular coordinates is formed on the surface of the asteroid. The temporal patterns of the energy transformation for each layer is clarified and the roles of various photo- and collision processes are determined. The effect of a high-speed plasma flow is erosive in nature, and the plasma pulse is transmitted to the asteroid. The paper presents that in a thin layer of x-ray absorption, the asteroid substance is heated to high temperatures and as a result of its expansion, a recoil impulse is formed, which is not decisive due to the small mass of the expanding high-temperature plasma. Calculations shows that the main impulse received by an asteroid is associated with the entrainment of a heated layer of a substance formed by a neutron flux (7.5 E 1014 g E cm/s). It is shown that an asteroid with a radius of ~100 m acquires a velocity of . 100 cm/s. The calculations were performed taking into account the explosion energy spent on the destruction of the amorphous structure of the asteroid material (~1 eV/atom = 3.8 E 1010 erg/g) and ionization in the region of the high-temperature layer. Based on a similar analysis, an approximation is obtained for estimating the average size of fragments in the event of the possible destruction of the asteroid by shock waves generated inside it under the influence of pressure impulses. A physical experiment was conducted in laboratory conditions, simulating the fragmentation of a stone asteroid and confirming the validity of the obtained dependence on the selected values of certain parameters. As a result of numerical studies of the effects of the explosion, carried out at different distances from the surface of the asteroid, it is shown that taking into account the real geometry of the spallation layer gives the optimal height for the formation of the maximum asteroid momentum by a factor of 1.5 greater than similar estimates according to the simplified model. A two-stage concept of the impact of nuclear explosions on an asteroid using radar guidance tools is proposed. The paper analyzes the possible impact of the emerging ionization interference on the radar tracking of the movement of large fragments of the asteroid in the space-time evolution of all elements of the studied dynamic system.

Numerical modelling of seismic waves spread in models with an ice field in the arctic shelf
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2020, v. 12, no. 1, pp. 73-82

The Arctic region contains large hydrocarbon deposits. The presence of different ice formations, such as icebergs, ice hummocks, ice fields, complicates the process of carrying out seismic works on the territory. The last of them, ice fields, bring multiple reflections, spreading all over the surface of ice, into seismogramms. These multiple reflections are necessary to be taken into account while analyzing the seismograms, and geologists should be able to exclude them in order to obtain the reflected waves from the lower geological layers, including hydrocarbon layers.

In this work, we solve the problem of the seismic waves spread in the heterogeneous medium. The systems of equations for the linear elastic medium and for the acoustic medium describe the geological layers. We present the detailed description of the numerical solution of these systems of equations with the help of the grid-characteristic method. The final 1D transfer equations are solved with the use of the Rusanov scheme of the third order of accuracy. In the work, we examine the way of multiple waves decrease in ice by establishing the source of impulse deep into the ice field on border with water. We present the results of computer modelling of the seismic waves spread in geological layers, where the seismic source of impulse is situated on the contact border between ice and water, and also with the seismic source of impulse on the surface of ice for the 3D case. The results of the numerical modelling are presented by wave fields, graphs of the velocity x-components and seismogramms for the two problem formulations. We carry out the analysis of influence of establishing the source of impulse on the border between ice and water on the decrease of the x-components of seismic wave velocities, on seismogramms and on wave fields. As a result, the model, where the seismic source of impulse is situated on the contact border between ice and water, makes worse the final result. The model with the source of impulse on the surface of ice demonstrates a decrease of the x-components of seismic wave velocities.

Game-theoretic model of coordinations of interests at innovative development of corporations
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 4, pp. 673-684

Dynamic game theoretic models of the corporative innovative development are investigated. The proposed models are based on concordance of private and public interests of agents. It is supposed that the structure of interests of each agent includes both private (personal interests) and public (interests of the whole company connected with its innovative development first) components. The agents allocate their personal resources between these two directions. The system dynamics is described by a difference (not differential) equation. The proposed model of innovative development is studied by simulation and the method of enumeration of the domains of feasible controls with a constant step. The main contribution of the paper consists in comparative analysis of efficiency of the methods of hierarchical control (compulsion or impulsion) for information structures of Stackelberg or Germeier (four structures) by means of the indices of system compatibility. The proposed model is a universal one and can be used for a scientifically grounded support of the programs of innovative development of any economic firm. The features of a specific company are considered in the process of model identification (a determination of the specific classes of model functions and numerical values of its parameters) which forms a separate complex problem and requires an analysis of the statistical data and expert estimations. The following assumptions about information rules of the hierarchical game are accepted: all players use open-loop strategies; the leader chooses and reports to the followers some values of administrative (compulsion) or economic (impulsion) control variables which can be only functions of time (Stackelberg games) or depend also on the followers’ controls (Germeier games); given the leader’s strategies all followers simultaneously and independently choose their strategies that gives a Nash equilibrium in the followers’ game. For a finite number of iterations the proposed algorithm of simulation modeling allows to build an approximate solution of the model or to conclude that it doesn’t exist. A reliability and efficiency of the proposed algorithm follow from the properties of the scenario method and the method of a direct ordered enumeration with a constant step. Some comprehensive conclusions about the comparative efficiency of methods of hierarchical control of innovations are received.

Layered Bénard–Marangoni convection during heat transfer according to the Newton’s law of cooling
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 6, pp. 927-940

The paper considers mathematical modeling of layered Benard–Marangoni convection of a viscous incompressible fluid. The fluid moves in an infinitely extended layer. The Oberbeck–Boussinesq system describing layered Benard–Marangoni convection is overdetermined, since the vertical velocity is zero identically. We have a system of five equations to calculate two components of the velocity vector, temperature and pressure (three equations of impulse conservation, the incompressibility equation and the heat equation). A class of exact solutions is proposed for the solvability of the Oberbeck–Boussinesq system. The structure of the proposed solution is such that the incompressibility equation is satisfied identically. Thus, it is possible to eliminate the «extra» equation. The emphasis is on the study of heat exchange on the free layer boundary, which is considered rigid. In the description of thermocapillary convective motion, heat exchange is set according to the Newton’s law of cooling. The application of this heat distribution law leads to the third-kind initial-boundary value problem. It is shown that within the presented class of exact solutions to the Oberbeck–Boussinesq equations the overdetermined initial-boundary value problem is reduced to the Sturm–Liouville problem. Consequently, the hydrodynamic fields are expressed using trigonometric functions (the Fourier basis). A transcendental equation is obtained to determine the eigenvalues of the problem. This equation is solved numerically. The numerical analysis of the solutions of the system of evolutionary and gradient equations describing fluid flow is executed. Hydrodynamic fields are analyzed by a computational experiment. The existence of counterflows in the fluid layer is shown in the study of the boundary value problem. The existence of counterflows is equivalent to the presence of stagnation points in the fluid, and this testifies to the existence of a local extremum of the kinetic energy of the fluid. It has been established that each velocity component cannot have more than one zero value. Thus, the fluid flow is separated into two zones. The tangential stresses have different signs in these zones. Moreover, there is a fluid layer thickness at which the tangential stresses at the liquid layer equal to zero on the lower boundary. This physical effect is possible only for Newtonian fluids. The temperature and pressure fields have the same properties as velocities. All the nonstationary solutions approach the steady state in this case.

Synchronization and chaos in networks of coupled maps in application to modeling of cardiac dynamics
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2011, v. 3, no. 4, pp. 439-453

The dynamics of coupled elements’ ensembles are investigated in the context of description of spatio-temporal processes in the myocardium. Basic element is map-based model constructed by simplification and reduction of Luo-Rudy model. In particular, capabilities of the model in replication of different regimes of cardiac activity are shown, including excitable and oscillatory regimes. The dynamics of 1D and 2D lattices of coupled oscillatory elements with a random distribution of individual frequencies are considered. Effects of cluster synchronization and transition to global synchronization by increasing of coupling strength are discussed. Impulse propagation in the chain of excitable cells has been observed. Analysis of 2D lattice of excitable elements with target and spiral waves have been made. The characteristics of the spiral wave has been analyzed in depending on the individual parameters of the map and coupling strength between elements of the lattice. A study of mixed ensembles consisting of excitable and oscillatory elements with a gradient changing of the properties have been made, including the task for description of normal and pathological activity of the sinoatrial node.

  6. This article solves the problem of developing a technology for collecting initial data for building models for assessing the functional state of a person. This condition is assessed by the pupil response of a person to a change in illumination based on the pupillometry method. This method involves the collection and analysis of initial data (pupillograms), presented in the form of time series characterizing the dynamics of changes in the human pupils to a light impulse effect. The drawbacks of the traditional approach to the collection of initial data using the methods of computer vision and smoothing of time series are analyzed. Attention is focused on the importance of the quality of the initial data for the construction of adequate mathematical models. The need for manual marking of the iris and pupil circles is updated to improve the accuracy and quality of the initial data. The stages of the proposed technology for collecting initial data are described. An example of the obtained pupillogram is given, which has a smooth shape and does not contain outliers, noise, anomalies and missing values. Based on the presented technology, a software and hardware complex has been developed, which is a collection of special software with two main modules, and hardware implemented on the basis of a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B microcomputer, with peripheral equipment that implements the specified functionality. To evaluate the effectiveness of the developed technology, models of a single-layer perspetron and a collective of neural networks are used, for the construction of which the initial data on the functional state of intoxication of a person were used. The studies have shown that the use of manual marking of the initial data (in comparison with automatic methods of computer vision) leads to a decrease in the number of errors of the 1st and 2nd years of the kind and, accordingly, to an increase in the accuracy of assessing the functional state of a person. Thus, the presented technology for collecting initial data can be effectively used to build adequate models for assessing the functional state of a person by pupillary response to changes in illumination. The use of such models is relevant in solving individual problems of ensuring transport security, in particular, monitoring the functional state of drivers.

Combining the agent approach and the general equilibrium approach to analyze the influence of the shadow sector on the Russian economy
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2020, v. 12, no. 3, pp. 669-684

This article discusses the influence of the shadow, informal and household sectors on the dynamics of a stochastic model with heterogeneous (heterogeneous) agents. The study uses the integration of the general equilibrium approach to explain the behavior of demand, supply and prices in an economy with several interacting markets, and a multi-agent approach. The analyzed model describes an economy with aggregated uncertainty and with an infinite number of heterogeneous agents (households). The source of heterogeneity is the idiosyncratic income shocks of agents in the legal and shadow sectors of the economy. In the analysis, an algorithm is used to approximate the dynamics of the distribution function of the capital stocks of individual agents — the dynamics of its first and second moments. The synthesis of the agent approach and the general equilibrium approach is carried out using computer implementation of the recursive feedback between microagents and macroenvironment. The behavior of the impulse response functions of the main variables of the model confirms the positive influence of the shadow economy (below a certain limit) on minimizing the rate of decline in economic indicators during recessions, especially for developing economies. The scientific novelty of the study is the combination of a multi-agent approach and a general equilibrium approach for modeling macroeconomic processes at the regional and national levels. Further research prospects may be associated with the use of more detailed general equilibrium models, which allow, in particular, to describe the behavior of heterogeneous groups of agents in the entrepreneurial sector of the economy.
