  1. Efficiency of production directly depends on quality of the management of technology which, in turn, relies on the accuracy and efficiency of the processing of control and measuring information. Development of the mathematical methods of research of the system communications and regularities of functioning and creation of the mathematical models taking into account structural features of object of researches, and also writing of the software products for realization of these methods are an actual task. Practice has shown that the list of parameters that take place in the study of complex object of modern production, ranging from a few dozen to several hundred names, and the degree of influence of each factor in the initial time is not clear. Before working for the direct determination of the model in these circumstances, it is impossible — the amount of the required information may be too great, and most of the work on the collection of this information will be done in vain due to the fact that the degree of influence on the optimization of most factors of the original list would be negligible. Therefore, a necessary step in determining a model of a complex object is to work to reduce the dimension of the factor space. Most industrial plants are hierarchical group processes and mass volume production, characterized by hundreds of factors. (For an example of realization of the mathematical methods and the approbation of the constructed models data of the Moldavian steel works were taken in a basis.) To investigate the systemic linkages and patterns of functioning of such complex objects are usually chosen several informative parameters, and carried out their sampling. In this article the sequence of coercion of the initial indices of the technological process of the smelting of steel to the look suitable for creation of a mathematical model for the purpose of prediction is described. The implementations of new types became also creation of a basis for development of the system of automated management of quality of the production. In the course of weak correlation the following stages are selected: collection and the analysis of the basic data, creation of the table the correlated of the parameters, abbreviation of factor space by means of the correlative pleiads and a method of weight factors. The received results allow to optimize process of creation of the model of multiple-factor process.

Estimation of natural frequencies of torsional vibrations of a composite nonlinearly viscoelastic shaft
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2018, v. 10, no. 4, pp. 421-430

The article presents a method for linearization the effective function of material instantaneous deformation in order to generalize the torsional vibration equation to the case of nonlinearly deformable rheologically active shafts. It is considered layered and structurally heterogeneous, on average isotropic shafts made of nonlinearly viscoelastic components. The technique consists in determining the approximate shear modulus by minimizing the root-mean-square deviation in approximation of the effective diagram of instantaneous deformation.

The method allows to estimate analytically values of natural frequencies of layered and structurally heterogeneous nonlinearly viscoelastic shaft. This makes it possible to significantly reduce resources in vibration analysis, as well as to track changes in values of natural frequencies with changing geometric, physico-mechanical and structural parameters of shafts, which is especially important at the initial stages of modeling and design. In addition, the paper shows that only a pronounced nonlinearity of the effective state equation has an effect on the natural frequencies, and in some cases the nonlinearity in determining the natural frequencies can be neglected.

As equations of state of the composite material components, the article considers the equations of nonlinear heredity with instantaneous deformation functions in the form of the Prandtl’s bilinear diagrams. To homogenize the state equations of layered shafts, it is applied the Voigt’s hypothesis on the homogeneity of deformations and the Reuss’ hypothesis on the homogeneity of stresses in the volume of a composite body. Using these assumptions, effective secant and tangential shear moduli, proportionality limits, as well as creep and relaxation kernels of longitudinal, axial and transversely layered shafts are obtained. In addition, it is obtained the indicated effective characteristics of a structurally heterogeneous, on average isotropic shaft using the homogenization method previously proposed by the authors, based on the determination of the material deformation parameters by the rule of a mixture for the Voigt’s and the Reuss’ state equations.

Buckling problems of thin elastic shells
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2018, v. 10, no. 6, pp. 775-787

The article covers several mathematical problems relating to elastic stability of thin shells in view of inconsistencies that have been recently identified between the experimental data and the predictions based on the shallow- shell theory. It is highlighted that the contradictions were caused by new algorithms that enabled updating the values of the so called “low critical stresses” calculated in the 20th century and adopted as a buckling criterion for thin shallow shells by technical standards. The new calculations often find the low critical stress close to zero. Therefore, the low critical stress cannot be used as a safety factor for the buckling analysis of the thinwalled structure, and the equations of the shallow-shell theory need to be replaced with other differential equations. The new theory also requires a buckling criterion ensuring the match between calculations and experimental data.

The article demonstrates that the contradiction with the new experiments can be resolved within the dynamic nonlinear three-dimensional theory of elasticity. The stress when bifurcation of dynamic modes occurs shall be taken as a buckling criterion. The nonlinear form of original equations causes solitary (solitonic) waves that match non-smooth displacements (patterns, dents) of the shells. It is essential that the solitons make an impact at all stages of loading and significantly increase closer to bifurcation. The solitonic solutions are illustrated based on the thin cylindrical momentless shell when its three-dimensional volume is simulated with twodimensional surface of the set thickness. It is noted that the pattern-generating waves can be detected (and their amplitudes can by identified) with acoustic or electromagnetic devices.

Thus, it is technically possible to reduce the risk of failure of the thin shells by monitoring the shape of the surface with acoustic devices. The article concludes with a setting of the mathematical problems requiring the solution for the reliable numerical assessment of the buckling criterion for thin elastic shells.

Physical research, numerical and analytical modeling of explosion phenomena. A review
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2020, v. 12, no. 3, pp. 505-546

The review considers a wide range of phenomena and problems associated with the explosion. Detailed numerical studies revealed an interesting physical effect — the formation of discrete vortex structures directly behind the front of a shock wave propagating in dense layers of a heterogeneous atmosphere. The necessity of further investigation of such phenomena and the determination of the degree of their connection with the possible development of gas-dynamic instability is shown. The brief analysis of numerous works on the thermal explosion of meteoroids during their high-speed movement in the Earth’s atmosphere is given. Much attention is paid to the development of a numerical algorithm for calculating the simultaneous explosion of several fragments of meteoroids and the features of the development of such a gas-dynamic flow are analyzed. The work shows that earlier developed algorithms for calculating explosions can be successfully used to study explosive volcanic eruptions. The paper presents and discusses the results of such studies for both continental and underwater volcanoes with certain restrictions on the conditions of volcanic activity.

The mathematical analysis is performed and the results of analytical studies of a number of important physical phenomena characteristic of explosions of high specific energy in the ionosphere are presented. It is shown that the preliminary laboratory physical modeling of the main processes that determine these phenomena is of fundamental importance for the development of sufficiently complete and adequate theoretical and numerical models of such complex phenomena as powerful plasma disturbances in the ionosphere. Laser plasma is the closest object for such a simulation. The results of the corresponding theoretical and experimental studies are presented and their scientific and practical significance is shown. The brief review of recent years on the use of laser radiation for laboratory physical modeling of the effects of a nuclear explosion on asteroid materials is given.

As a result of the analysis performed in the review, it was possible to separate and preliminarily formulate some interesting and scientifically significant questions that must be investigated on the basis of the ideas already obtained. These are finely dispersed chemically active systems formed during the release of volcanoes; small-scale vortex structures; generation of spontaneous magnetic fields due to the development of instabilities and their role in the transformation of plasma energy during its expansion in the ionosphere. It is also important to study a possible laboratory physical simulation of the thermal explosion of bodies under the influence of highspeed plasma flow, which has only theoretical interpretations.

Analysis of mechanical structures of complex technical systems
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2021, v. 13, no. 5, pp. 903-916

The work is devoted to the structural analysis of complex technical systems. Mechanical structures are considered, the properties of which affect the behavior of products during assembly, repair and operation. The main source of data on parts and mechanical connections between them is a hypergraph. This model formalizes the multidimensional basing relation. The hypergraph correctly describes the connectivity and mutual coordination of parts, which is achieved during the assembly of the product. When developing complex products in CAD systems, an engineer often makes serious design mistakes: overbasing of parts and non-sequential assembly operations. Effective ways of identifying these structural defects have been proposed. It is shown that the property of independent assembly can be represented as a closure operator whose domain is the boolean of the set of product parts. The images of this operator are connected and coordinated subsets of parts that can be assembled independently. A lattice model is described, which is the state space of the product during assembly, disassembly and decomposition into assembly units. The lattice model serves as a source of various structural information about the project. Numerical estimates of the cardinality of the set of admissible alternatives in the problems of choosing an assembly sequence and decomposition into assembly units are proposed. For many technical operations (for example, control, testing, etc.), it is necessary to mount all the operand parts in one assembly unit. A simple formalization of the technical conditions requiring the inclusion (exclusion) of parts in the assembly unit (from the assembly unit) has been developed. A theorem that gives an mathematical description of product decomposition into assembly units in exact lattice terms is given. A method for numerical evaluation of the robustness of the mechanical structure of a complex technical system is proposed.

Localized nonlinear waves of the sine-Gordon equation in a model with three extended impurities
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2024, v. 16, no. 4, pp. 855-868

In this work, we use analytical and numerical methods to consider the problem of the structure and dynamics of coupled localized nonlinear waves in the sine-Gordon model with three identical attractive extended “impurities”, which are modeled by spatial inhomogeneity of the periodic potential. Two possible types of coupled nonlinear localized waves are found: breather and soliton. The influence of system parameters and initial conditions on the structure, amplitude, and frequency of localized waves was analyzed. Associated oscillations of localized waves of the breather type as in the case of point impurities, are the sum of three harmonic oscillations: in-phase, in-phase-antiphase and antiphase type. Frequency analysis of impurity-localized waves that were obtained during a numerical experiment was performed using discrete Fourier transform. To analyze localized breather-type waves, the numerical finite difference method was used. To carry out a qualitative analysis of the obtained numerical results, the problem was solved analytically for the case of small amplitudes of oscillations localized on impurities. It is shown that, for certain impurity parameters (depth and width), it is possible to obtain localized solitontype waves. The ranges of values of the system parameters in which localized waves of a certain type exist, as well as the region of transition from breather to soliton types of oscillations, have been found. The values of the depth and width of the impurity at which a transition from the breather to the soliton type of localized oscillations is observed were determined. Various scenarios of soliton-type oscillations with negative and positive amplitude values for all three impurities, as well as mixed cases, were obtained and considered. It is shown that in the case when the distance between impurities much less than one, there is no transition region where which the nascent breather, after losing energy through radiation, transforms into a soliton. It is shown that the considered model can be used, for example, to describe the dynamics of magnetization waves in multilayer magnets.

    Computer Research and Modeling, 2017, v. 9, no. 1, pp. 47-55

The results of verification carried out for investigations of hydrodynamic effect on reentry conicalsegmental space vehicle are presented in the paper. The program complex Flow Vision is used for this analysis. The purpose of the study is verification of using Flow Vision program complex for problem solving mentioned above on the base of comparison between calculated and experimental data, obtained on the Apollo landing models and new development reentry spacecraft of manned transporting spaceship designed by RSC Energia. The comparison was carried out through the data of pressure values on spacecraft model surfaces during its water landing and inertia center motion parameters.

The results of study show good agreement between experimental and calculated data of force effects on vehicle construction during water landing and its motion parameters in the water medium. Computer simulation sufficiently well reproduces influence of initial velocities & water entry angles variations on water landing process.

Using of computer simulation provides simultaneous acquisition of all data information needed for investigation of water landing peculiarities during construction design, notably, hydrodynamic effects for structural strength calculations, parameters and dynamics of center mass motion and vehicle revolution around center mass for estimation water landing conditions, as well as vehicle stability after landing.

Obtained results confirm suitability of using Flow Vision program complex for water landing vehicle investigations and investigations of influence of different landing regimes through wide initial condition change range, that permits considerably decrease extent of expensive experimental tests and realize landing conditions which are sufficiently complicated for realizing in model physical experiments.

  8. The article discusses the model of the anthropomorphic type of mechanism of the exoskeleton with links of variable length. Four models of parts of variable length are considered comprehensively: the model link of the exoskeleton of variable length with a resilient member and a rigid strong core; the model of the telescopic link; the model link with the masses in the hinge-joint between them; the link model with an arbitrary number of masses. The differential equations of motion in the form of Lagrange equations of the second kind are made. On the basis of analysis of differential equations of motion for multi-link rod of a mechanical system type, exoskeleton revealed their structure, which allowed us to represent them in vector-matrix form. The General pattern of building matrices are established for the first time and the generalization of the expressions for elements of matrices in two-dimensional case are obtained. New recursive and matrix methods of composing of differential equations of motion are given. A unified approach to constructing differential equations of motion of the exoskeleton based on the developed recursive and matrix methods write differential equations of motion of the proposed exoskeleton. Comparison of the time of writing the differential equations of motion proposed methods, in comparison with the Lagrange equations of the second kind, in the system of computer mathematics Mathematica conducted. An analytical study of the model of the exoskeleton carried out. It was found that for mechanisms with n movable links of the Cauchy problem for systems of differential equations of motion for any initial conditions there is no single and unlimited continue. Control of the exoskeleton is accomplished using the torques which are located in the hinge-joints in the joints of the links and simulating control actions. Numerical investigation of a model of the exoskeleton is made, a comparison of results of calculations for exoskeletons with various models of units is held. A numerical study of the empirical evidence about the man and his movements is used. It is established that the choice structure of the exoskeleton model with lumped masses is more preferable to a model with perfectly rigid strong core. As an exoskeleton, providing comfortable movement of people, and you should repeat the properties of the musculoskeletal system.

Import model of flexible woven composites in ANSYS Mechanical APDL
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2018, v. 10, no. 6, pp. 789-799

A variant of import into ANSYS Mechanical APDL system of the model of behavior of flexible woven composite materials with reinforcing weaving cloth of linen at static stretching along the reinforcement yarns is offered. The import was carried out using an integration module based on the use of an analytical model of deformation of the material under study. The model is presented in the articles published earlier and takes into account the changes in the geometric structure occurring in the reinforcing layer of the material during the deformation process, the formation of irreversible deformations and the interaction of cross-lying reinforcing fabric threads. In the introduction input characteristics of the plain weave of the reinforcing fabric and the analytical model imported into ANSYS are briefly described. The input parameters of the module are the mechanical characteristics of the materials that make up the composite (binder and material of reinforcement yarns), the geometric characteristics of the interlacing of the reinforcing fabric. The algorithm for importing the model is based on the calculation and transfer in ANSYS of the calculated points of the material stress-strain diagram for uniaxial stretching along the reinforcement direction and using the Multilinear Kinematich Hardening model material embedded in the ANSYS. The analytical model imported with the help of the presented module allows to model a composite material with reinforcing fabric without a detailed description of the geometry of the interlacing of threads during modeling of the material as a whole. The imported model was verified. For verification full-scale experimental studies and numerical simulation of the stretching of samples from flexible woven composites were carried out. The analysis of the obtained results showed good qualitative and quantitative agreement of calculations.

Modeling the physical processes of a powerful nuclear explosion on an asteroid
    Computer Research and Modeling, 2019, v. 11, no. 5, pp. 861-877

As part of the paper, a physical and theoretical analysis of the impact processes of various factors of a highaltitude and high-energy nuclear explosion on the asteroid in extra-atmospheric conditions of open space is done. It is shown that, in accordance with the energy and permeability of the plasma of explosion products, X-ray and gamma-neutron radiation, a layered structure with a different energy density depending on angular coordinates is formed on the surface of the asteroid. The temporal patterns of the energy transformation for each layer is clarified and the roles of various photo- and collision processes are determined. The effect of a high-speed plasma flow is erosive in nature, and the plasma pulse is transmitted to the asteroid. The paper presents that in a thin layer of x-ray absorption, the asteroid substance is heated to high temperatures and as a result of its expansion, a recoil impulse is formed, which is not decisive due to the small mass of the expanding high-temperature plasma. Calculations shows that the main impulse received by an asteroid is associated with the entrainment of a heated layer of a substance formed by a neutron flux (7.5 E 1014 g E cm/s). It is shown that an asteroid with a radius of ~100 m acquires a velocity of . 100 cm/s. The calculations were performed taking into account the explosion energy spent on the destruction of the amorphous structure of the asteroid material (~1 eV/atom = 3.8 E 1010 erg/g) and ionization in the region of the high-temperature layer. Based on a similar analysis, an approximation is obtained for estimating the average size of fragments in the event of the possible destruction of the asteroid by shock waves generated inside it under the influence of pressure impulses. A physical experiment was conducted in laboratory conditions, simulating the fragmentation of a stone asteroid and confirming the validity of the obtained dependence on the selected values of certain parameters. As a result of numerical studies of the effects of the explosion, carried out at different distances from the surface of the asteroid, it is shown that taking into account the real geometry of the spallation layer gives the optimal height for the formation of the maximum asteroid momentum by a factor of 1.5 greater than similar estimates according to the simplified model. A two-stage concept of the impact of nuclear explosions on an asteroid using radar guidance tools is proposed. The paper analyzes the possible impact of the emerging ionization interference on the radar tracking of the movement of large fragments of the asteroid in the space-time evolution of all elements of the studied dynamic system.
