Stability of the quantum phase estimation algorithm under uniform distribution of eigenvalues
Computer Research and Modeling, 2026, v. 18, no. 1, pp. 9-24This paper establishes quantitative conditions for the stability of the Quantum Phase Estimation (QPE) algorithm under the assumption of a uniform distribution of eigenvalues of the unitary operator. Using perturbation theory for linear operators, we demonstrate that the accuracy of phase estimation is fundamentally limited by a logarithmic dependence on the perturbation magnitude: the number of reliably recoverable binary digits of the phase satisfies the condition $n=o(-\log_2^{}(\epsilon))$. Furthermore, we show that distinct phases remain resolvable only if the perturbation does not exceed the minimal distance $\frac{1}{m}$ between adjacent phases, which leads to the condition $m=o\left(\epsilon^{-1}\right)$. These results reveal fundamental limitations on the resolving power of QPE in the presence of imperfect input data and are of direct practical relevance for the design of robust quantum algorithms that employ QPE as a~subroutine.

Computer model of a perfect-mixing extraction reactor in the format of the component circuits method with non-uniform vector connections
Computer Research and Modeling, 2024, v. 16, no. 3, pp. 599-614The features of the component circuits method (MCC) in modeling chemical-technological systems (CTS) are considered, taking into account its practical significance. The software and algorithmic implementation of which is currently a set of computer modeling programs MARS (Modeling and Automatic Research of Systems). MARS allows the development and analysis of mathematical models with specified experimental parameters. Research and calculations were carried out using a specialized software and hardware complex MARS, which allows the development of mathematical models with specified experimental parameters. In the course of this work, the model of a perfect-mixing reactor was developed in the MARS modeling environment taking into account the physicochemical features of the uranium extraction process in the presence of nitric acid and tributyl phosphate. As results, the curves of changes of the concentration of uranium extracted into the organic phase are presented. The possibility of using MCC for the description and analysis of CTS, including extraction processes, has been confirmed. The use of the obtained results is planned to be used in the development of a virtual laboratory, which will include the main apparatus of the chemical industry, as well as complex technical controlled systems (CTСS) based on them and will allow one to acquire a wide range of professional competencies in working with “digital twins” of real control objects, including gaining initial experience working with the main equipment of the nuclear industry. In addition to the direct applied benefits, it is also assumed that the successful implementation of the domestic complex of computer modeling programs and technologies based on the obtained results will make it possible to find solutions to the problems of organizing national technological sovereignty and import substitution.

QUBO formulation of a two-echelon vehicle routing problem with optional activation of intermediate nodes: penalty landscape diagnostics and a hybrid algorithm
Computer Research and Modeling, 2026, v. 18, no. 4, pp. 765-791The haulage of timber from remote logging areas of Siberia is characterized by high transportation costs. Long stretches of unpaved logging roads, seasonal constraints (spring thaw and winter roads), and considerable distances from cutting areas to main transport hubs (50–200 km) make systematic route planning essential.
This paper proposes a mathematical model of the two-echelon vehicle routing problem (2E-VRP) adapted to timber haulage in the macro-region of the Urals and Siberia. The model incorporates variable transportation costs (truck mileage), fixed costs of using each vehicle ($c_{fix}$ = 30 000 RUB per trip), and vehicle-capacity constraints. The problem is transformed into a QUBO (quadratic unconstrained binary optimization) formulation; capacity constraints are integrated through the penalty coefficient $\lambda_{cap}$ = 500. This representation makes the model compatible with modern specialized solvers, including quantum annealers and digital annealers.
The model is tested on the real geography of the Ural and Siberian Federal Districts: 207 nodes in the logistics network, 65 customer enterprises, and 8 main transport hubs. The proposed three-stage “Feasible-First” algorithm constructs a feasible routing plan in 1.7 s and reduces total transportation costs by 69% relative to a baseline genetic algorithm. Subsequent simulated annealing further improves the QUBO objective value by 55%.

Numerical simulation of frequency dependence of dielectric permittivity and electrical conductivity of saturated porous media
Computer Research and Modeling, 2016, v. 8, no. 5, pp. 765-773Views (last year): 8.This article represents numerical simulation technique for determining effective spectral electromagnetic properties (effective electrical conductivity and relative dielectric permittivity) of saturated porous media. Information about these properties is vastly applied during the interpretation of petrophysical exploration data of boreholes and studying of rock core samples. The main feature of the present paper consists in the fact, that it involves three-dimensional saturated digital rock models, which were constructed based on the combined data considering microscopic structure of the porous media and the information about capillary equilibrium of oil-water mixture in pores. Data considering microscopic structure of the model are obtained by means of X-ray microscopic tomography. Information about distributions of saturating fluids is based on hydrodynamic simulations with density functional technique. In order to determine electromagnetic properties of the numerical model time-domain Fourier transform of Maxwell equations is considered. In low frequency approximation the problem can be reduced to solving elliptic equation for the distribution of complex electric potential. Finite difference approximation is based on discretization of the model with homogeneous isotropic orthogonal grid. This discretization implies that each computational cell contains exclusively one medium: water, oil or rock. In order to obtain suitable numerical model the distributions of saturating components is segmented. Such kind of modification enables avoiding usage of heterogeneous grids and disregards influence on the results of simulations of the additional techniques, required in order to determine properties of cells, filled with mixture of media. Corresponding system of differential equations is solved by means of biconjugate gradient stabilized method with multigrid preconditioner. Based on the results of complex electric potential computations average values of electrical conductivity and relative dielectric permittivity is calculated. For the sake of simplicity, this paper considers exclusively simulations with no spectral dependence of conductivities and permittivities of model components. The results of numerical simulations of spectral dependence of effective characteristics of heterogeneously saturated porous media (electrical conductivity and relative dielectric permittivity) in broad range of frequencies and multiple water saturations are represented in figures and table. Efficiency of the presented approach for determining spectral electrical properties of saturated rocks is discussed in conclusion.

Modeling and calculation of probability density function and cumulative distribution function of phase-shift-keying signals envelope phase
Computer Research and Modeling, 2026, v. 18, no. 2, pp. 243-272For modeling and statistical analysis of data characterized by cyclicity (periodicity) in various areas of science are used circular or wrapped distribution models. The phase distribution function of a harmonic and phase-shift-keying signal in case additive white Gaussian noise is considered. Algorithms for modeling random phases sample of harmonic and modulated signals with specified parameters and correlation function are presented. Expressions for the phase distribution density of the phase-shift-keying signal are given. It is shown that the phase probability density function of the phase-shift-keying signal becomes multimodal. In addition, the probability density function under consideration is a periodic function, which means that the trigonometric Fourier basis can be used to decompose it into a series. In paper for the first time, analytical expressions for the coefficients of the Fourier series when decomposing the density under consideration into a harmonic basis are obtained, and the derivation of the corresponding expressions are presented. Examples of computer modeling and corresponding graphical materials of calculating Fourier coefficients of the phase probability density function for harmonic and phase-shift-keying signals are presented. A formula for the cumulative distribution function and its decomposition into a Fourier series are also obtained. Based on the representation of the phase probability density function in the form of a Fourier series, a comparison is made with other circular distributions often used in practical problems, the Mises distribution and the wrapped normal distribution. The results obtained in this work are of theoretical and practical interest for modeling and statistical analysis of signal phases in various applied problems in area radio engineering, digital communication, radar, etc. In particular, in the problems of estimating the signal-to-noise ratio, the bit error rate, as well as the reliability of demodulator solutions, i. e. soft demodulation of phase-shift-keying signals. Analytical expressions for the Fourier series coefficients can be used to estimate the empirical probability density function.

Computer Research and Modeling, 2009, v. 1, no. 4, pp. 391-403The approach given in this work helps to organize the operative control over action intensity of pollution emissions in atmosphere. The approach allows to sequential estimate of unknown intensity of atmospheric pollution source on the base of concentration measurements of impurity in several stationary control points is offered in the work. The inverse problem was solved by means of the step-by-step regularization and the sequential function specification method. The solution is presented in the form of the digital filter in terms of Hamming. The fitting algorithm of regularization parameter r for function specification method is described.

The present article sets out the scientific approach of Dmitry Sergeevich Chernavskii to the modelling of economic processes. It recounts the history of works of Dmitry Sergeyevich on the economic front, its milestones and achievements. One of the most important advances in the economic analysis was the prediction by a team of scientists headed by D. S. Chernavskii, the major crises that have occurred in our country over the last 20 years, namely, the default of 1998, the crisis of industrial production in the second half of the 2000s, the 2008 crisis and the ensuing recession. As an example, the dynamic analysis of the global macroeconomic processes shows the model of functioning of the dollar as the world currency. On this particular example shows the possibility of seigniorage due to the issue of the dollar and the calculated “window of opportunity” that allows you to issue dollars as the global currency, without prejudice to its own economy.
A model for the development of a closed society (without external economic relations) in the one-product approach is considered as an example of dynamic analysis of the economy of a separate state. The model is based on the principles of market economy, i.e. the dynamics of prices is determined by the balance of supply and demand. It is shown that in the general case, the state of market equilibrium is not unique. Several steady states with different levels of production and consumption are possible. Effect of addressed emission of money in underproductive state is considered. It is shown that, depending on its size it can lead to the transition to a highly productive condition, and just cause inflation without transition. The relationship of these results with the “Keynesian” and “monetarist” approaches is discussed.
